Remember that green sparkle boy blind bag pony that wasn't part of the wave 4 set, and didn't seem to fit anywhere else?
Looks like he's going to be part of a blind bag bundle with the mane 6 as part of Target's Crystal Empire series:

It's pretty safe to say that she will probably be a Crystal Empire pony, especially with all of the box art ponies being covered in sparkles.

Ooh, I'd been wondering if they'd ever make sparkle versions of any G4 brushables, and it looks like my wish came true! I'd love a sparkle/pearly Rarity!
Edit - wait, IS Fluttershy pearly, or is it just the photo quality making it look like that? I hope she really is pearly!

Translucent shimmery Fluttershy is awesome! That is totally a gimmick that will get me to re-buy characters. I hope the rest of the mane 6 get this treatment as well.

Holy poo! I was wondering if he would come as a Rainbow set with the others! He really does complete that rainbow nicely.
As for Fluttershy.... awesome! Looks like I will have to order a lot of these sets off ebay. Lucky people with Target stores :P

I'm totally getting that blind bag set, even though I already have all the main six sparkly ponies, so I'd just be getting it for the green boy, but that's ok. I can always trade away the extras.
And I actually do want that translucent Fluttershy. I actually already have 3 regular sized Fluttershy (light & dark pink hair and Shine Bright) but luckily, she's my favorite of the main six, so I don't mind having duplicates of her anyway, as long as they look different.

I am thoroughly excited about the Crystal Empire line, eager to see what goodies they're selling in addition to ponies. I'm hoping to see more G4 bedding.

I heard something about Crystal Empire being this gen's movie.
Can we assume this Emerald Ray fellow to be a character from that or just a random throw-in since the cast lacks green ponies?
Also why is there no red in the rainbow? Glitter Big Mac would have been cool

It's not a movie name, just the name of Target's exclusive FiM line of merchandise like the Canterlot line they had last year. This year TRU also has their own exclusive line (Pony Friends Forever or something like that) so I'm a bit surprised Wal-Mart hasn't jumped on the bandwagon yet and made a deal for their own exclusive line as well.
As for the green boy, I'm positive he was just thrown in because there's no green pony in the main cast. Though, Rarity doesn't really fit since white isn't a color in the rainbow, but I guess they didn't want to leave her out.

I really like that "blindbag" set. Packaging looks really good too.
I'm less impressed by the "crystal" fluttershy. I think i'm just really tired of that same old pose and she doesn't look THAT different to me from her regular release. I might pick up Rarity cause she is Rarity.

Not gonna lie, I do like that crystal Fluttershy regardless that it's the same pose and everything as before and those blind bags are great! Maybe I'll finally be able to get my hands on at least one male BB without paying an arm and a leg :lol:
I think the only thing I don't like about them is the fact that my wallet is going to be completely depleted once all these new ponies come out >_<

I'm OK with the mane 6 being re-released as long as they look different! I understand that they are the main focus of FiM so Hasbro can't just not make them anymore.
And I love the packaging of the blind bag ponies :)

:happy: I nearly squeeled out loud :D I really hope I sell a ton of stuff at pony fair because I'm going to go broke with this new stuff! And I can't wait:D I'm even more excited because now I'll have the perfect bodies to make G4 Glow n Show ponies! They're not quite as clear as I'd like but they'll work well enough for me! Twilight Sparkle is great for Dazzle Glow, AJ will be good for Bright Glow, Rainbow Dash for Star Glow, and just because I always thought one should've been a different color, Pinkie Pie will be perfect for Happy Glow:D
Alright hasbro, get on it so I can give you more money!

So it's looking like the wedding themed stuff, the crystal empire, and the collector line at TRU are going to be released all at the same time? that's a lot of pony all at once. I wish they'd space it out a little and start releasing stuff this summer. I'm gonna go broke so fast.

Yes! I was sick of the Mane 6 everything but I will definitely buy them all in translucent form!
I really hope Hasbro has found a translucent plastic that won't turn into a sticky mess in a few years, but considering the cheap materials they keep going for with FiM, I won't hold my breath.

I love it! I am a totally fan of the sparkle body FS, I'm very okay with them re-releasing the mane 6 as long as they make them noticeably different each time. (poses, hair, translucent bodies etc). And of course the blind bag set is awesome.

People keep bringing up the fact that Crystal Empire might be the new FiM movie but I doubt there even IS a movie in the works at all. imdb.com is very thorough in their movie database knowledge and usually puts up a page for a movie if there's even the slightest hint of it being in production. I've looked at there is no FiM movie there. Until imdb has it listed, I can't believe rumors of its existence.

Well there is one thing I can say from a customizer's stand point about the brushables that are transparent... They are probably hopefully going to be the same plastic through and through... In others words, one kind of plastic used for the whole pony.. I hope

My first thought was also "custom bait" regarding that translucent Fluttershy. A nice variety of colours for those would be most welcome. I must admit too that I'm a sucker for anything MLP with the rainbow theme, so I wouldn't mind getting that BB set. Too bad they probably won't be out in stores when I head to the States in July (another year to wait until Targets finally show up in Canada!)

Hee hee, it's true! Every single generation of ponies has had some clearish ones! ^.^ G1, G2, G3 and now G4! (Well, G4 already had them if you count the blind bag releases, some of those are kinda clearish...)
It would be neat if we see a whole new 'empire' in the FiM world, perhaps an underground crystal world (ruled by mole men? :O ) buuuut I'm going to place my bets that it's nothing more than a catchphrase Hasbro is using to sell this particular set of toys. :\

Speaking of, the nice, big Target near me was empty of ponies yesterday - do you think that means we will be seeing new stuff soon? :)

I think the new line comes out around August (at least the only release dates I've seen for the wedding stuff have said that) so we might be in for a lean couple of months.. :( My Target is looking pretty empty too, only a few shine brights and two Pinkie Pies left ^^; (well, actually I just mean the regular brushables--they're still pretty stocked with the sets and FS ponies)

I am not sure about the hair color. To me, it looks like the picture is super-saturated, making the hair look somewhat different than it would in real life.

i bought the whole set i didnt have the wave 4 or 2 crystal ponys some are 4 some are 2 go figure so id say it was worth it i just need wave 2 rarity crstal and wave 4 aj and fluttershy for all the crystal main six

I really hope they do the whole mane six for the Crystal thing... though I'm worried about Rarity. There isn't really such a thing as white glitter and she is definitely WHITE. I will be really ticked if they make her ugly by using silver glitter and/or making her overly see-though. Here's hoping for *pearlescent* White Rarity to go with the sparkly color set.
Actually pearlescent Luna would look quite nice too.
Edit: You know, jewel-encrusted Rarity would be very nice...

I like the glitter rainbow set but I agree the glitter isn't durable. I have them set up for my own display though, and they make me smile when I see glittery ponies ;)
