Man!Pony was awesome. :P
Do you mean the silly muscled pony?
Are you talkiDo you mean the silly muscled pony?
Which might one add only appeared in one episode out of 48 of them and was only comic relief.
And in case you're talking about the average background extra, I usually find them cute.
I mean there are a few ugly ones here in there (mainly those with facial hair), but not enough to say that Hasbro is "going too far" with something.
O_o Is that real? lol I've never seen the like.apparently grown during the winter, probably so they don't freeze their muzzles off while foraging xD
i'm not tired of the ponies, i'm tired of the names the fans give the ponies.^THIS ^THIS ^THIS

Everyone can name background ponies, that's cool. we all do it. And sometimes the names are really good. but some people need to settle down about making every single name the community comes up with 'canon.'
Wouldn't it be Man Power?i'm not tired of the ponies, i'm tired of the names the fans give the ponies.^THIS ^THIS ^THIS

Seconded! I feel like we're losing the variety of background names we might have had otherwise, when everyone kind of came up with their own names. Horse Power? Really? :/ So I guess Arnold Schwarzenegger should be renamed 'Human Power'? It just seems really ridiculous to be named after your own species, is all.

For a little while I had a placement at a horse rescue and we had at least one horse with a 'tashO_o Is that real? lol I've never seen the like.apparently grown during the winter, probably so they don't freeze their muzzles off while foraging xD

and here's the story about the first one http://www.amusingplanet.com/2011/08/horse-who-refuses-to-have-his-moustache.html (http://www.amusingplanet.com/2011/08/horse-who-refuses-to-have-his-moustache.html)
If anything I'd like to see the same variation for female ponies. Girls are the ones who are most self-conscious about their bodies, I'd love see a chubby female pony portrayed in a positive light. However, if not handled right it could easily turn controversial.visitors can't see pics , please register or login
I like the diversity. I liked Man!Pony/Roid Rage/Beefy McTinyflappers or whatever people choose to call him too but only because he reminded me of the Ren & Stimpy cartoons :)
Some pony designs look so alien compared to 99% of the other ponies. I'm not talking about a bit of chubbyness or facial hair or whatever. I'm talking about ponies who's body build is so vastly different that you almost wonder if they are a different specie. While i like some of those designs at the same time i think they are a bit distracting.
Whenever I see "Hasbro have gone too far" pertaining to a FiM episode, I know I'm not going to agree with the person.
Also, what bothers me most about the male ponies is their limited colors. Last episode had some good designs but next episode there will again be a new male character they just slap brown on.

I think vastly different, exaggerated or wacky-looking characters is part of the appeal - in a lot of cases it serves as an actual part of the comedy.. Like caricatures.
It's very refreshing for me to see this kind of comedy in MLP. I don't think it's ever been done before in previous generations. It feels more diverse instead of perpetually stuck in a kind of one-dimensional saccharine world.

No, we weren't just trying to be trolls...can we please stay on topic?
I think he seemed kind of out of place. I kind of feel like they were trying to do something like Crackle again, but Crackle was funny since he was what the costume looked like, this pony just seemed so... random? But I think it's funny that people would complain about :muffin: Pony being offensive and "ableist" and whatnot, but I haven't seen any real complaints about people being offended by either Crackle or this pony. (which is a good thing! I also kind of doubt that any of people complaining about :muffin: Pony really mean it and are just trying to annoy her fans...?)
The real life facial hair horses are really cute, haha... and I certainly don't see why the characters in the show can't have moustaches or beards.
I didn't notice any "ugly" ponies in the last episode? xD And Horse Power was freaking awesome, I just cracked up whenever he made an appearance.
If anything I'd like to see more variation :P They seem to have all the pony body variations centered around the guys, and very little around the fillies (Mrs. Cake and other "mom" ponies notwithstanding, if only because that's the only body variation I can recall).
I love diversity, even in pony shapes. It's one of my favorite things about FiM. There's non-skinny girl ponies and all shapes of male ponies - like the real world.
I don't find them ugly, just silly.this!
Honestly, I was getting tired of all the cookie-cutter back ground ponies. I'm glad they're throwing in some different and unique body shapes.
And I completely agree that male ponies need a wider range of colors! It saddens me that, in a show where gender stereotypes are so gleefully discarded for the girls, the boys are stuck in the same old dull brown-black-white-navy palette. I see enough of that already when I go to buy shirts! Real stallions, I say, wear pink.

I totally agree! I really liked that the male "Firefly" was pink, more than the fact that he looked like Firefly.
I wonder where little pipsqueek is too. :(He's still around! If you look carefully you can see him in Putting your Hoof Down.
I don't mind ugly ponies, but I do mind when they have beard and when they look too human, like many of the old ponies do.
I don't even want to collect the boy ponies this generation, with their sharp rectangular muzzles and jaws, and weird droopy eyes that often look like they're melting off the face (heh, Celestia suffers from eye-melt too). And I echo some other people's complaints about how there's not enough colour diversity in the boys as well.
:D I will never tire of any pony, big, or small, boy or girl. more more more.
Although I wasn't sure of that fat chubby classmate for awhile, but I got over it... I wonder where little pipsqueek is too. :(
I liked the Flim Flam brother's face design much more than the "regular" boys.
Anywho, is anyone else upset with the ugly ponies?
Also, what bothers me most about the male flowers is their limited colors. Last episode had some good designs but next episode there will again be a new male character they just slap brown on. And muliticolored manes....there are far too little flowers with muliticolored manes.
A pink one, who sort of looked like he was based on Firefly popped up in Hurricane Fluttershy but I doubt he'll pop up again. Also, what bothers me most about the male flowers is their limited colors. This so much! Really why can't the boys have pastelly coats? Because that's girly? The show wants to break stereotypes but I've yet to see a pink boy fart in FiM :/ I almost screamed out of happiness when I saw a purple one with white mane in the perfect stallion song
The only semi-exception is Granny Smith, because nobody has done anything rude to her yet. I just wish they would make her less senile, my great grandma was sharp as a tack well into her 90's, granny smith can be the same.
Also, a random thought: Until the white peg with the tiny wings spoke, I was kinda reminded of the Looney Tune's horse who was simply stylized.
I like the different types of ponies. I just wish they would make some toys out of them! :P
