Title: * Let's make art together * 2 - Gardening and harvests !

I hope I didn't make you wait for too long for this new art prompt thread. ^^' I have fun making these and I already have a draft for the third installment. :D
Please, don't forget to post some feedback, I want to make these better ! :D

1. Summer themed (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,398862.msg1818144.html#msg1818144)

This one is about gardening and harvest season. I'm sure there are many Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley and IRL gardening enthusiasts in this forum, so with the delightful summer days we're having, I figured it would be quite inspiring to make art about it.

Here are the guidelines :

- Every art is accepted !! Whether it's a traditional painting, digital drawing, a photograph or a sculpture, show us what you love making !
- Every level is accepted ! Just have fun, it's not a competition. =)
- There is no time limit, you can post your art whenever you want on this topic.
- You can make multiple pieces. The more we can look at, the better. ♥
- You drawing/picture has to include at least one of the selected ponies. You can add more characters (selected or no) or just a solo picture, everything is fine.
- The selected playset is just a fun option, you have no obligation to include it. =)
- Your drawing doesn't have to include a background if you don't want to.

Sugarberry
Imagine tasting home grown strawberries, whether they would be fresh or in a dessert. How wonderful !

Petal Blossom
She looks like a quiet gardener and I think her coral mane looks great on her dark lilac coat. She is a pretty pony in her simplicity.

Azalea Bloom
The most beautiful gardens are home to the Breezies, because they feel more comfortable in the most peaceful and colorful places. They take care of the small lives all around them and make the world a better place.

Autumn Crisp
The end of July is certainly not at the brink of Fall, but I think she perfectly fits the theme and I perfectly picture her in a wheat field, with her blonde hair glowing under the hash summer sun, listening to cicadas, seeing how her crops are doing and picking some poppies along the way to decorate her living room.

Roseluck
The expert of flowers herself ! She tends a flower shop with her friends. She makes the prettiest bouquets that brighten up your day.

Bloomin' Blossoms Shop !
I imagine walking around that local store, it is quiet inside, you meet your village's friends, have a little chat with them while picking up the produce of the farms and workshops settled close to your house. You know where these come from and you know how much care has been put into each ingredient and supplies. That inspires you to cook the best dinner possible for all the friends you've invited at your home.

This post was great inspiration! I was going to set it in the playset that was offered, but it became a farmers market instead lol.

Thank you so much Rose! I'm so happy you like what I came up with. :) I love these posts, you include so many ideas and little descriptions that really get the creative juices flowing. I might draw something else for this post because I never drew the Breezie, but we'll see.

I got some Prismacolors and want to take them a bit seriously, so here's my wack at it.

@Tailrustedtealeaf : Your little Breezie is awesome. She looks adorable. Color pencils are really hard. I rarely use them other than combined with other media or it's just for a quick concept on my sketch book. You did well. =)

@Fizzy Scrumptious : I'm happy you like my little descriptions. Giving inspiration is totally their purpose and I'm happy it works out well. Even though I might not be inspired to draw, I'm at least inspired to write a little something for people's art. =)

I really like the art you're making. It sparks me joy. :frolic:

Do you think I should add more ponies to the art prompts ? How many do you think there should be in these threads ?

Here's my minimalist take on Azalea Bloom. I was originally going to go for a different style, but these flat, simplified drawings are just so relaxing to make, I don't know why.

Okay, I am super new at posting pics on here, and sometimes they come out fuzzy, so I posted a link in addition to the picture in case it shows up that way. Also I couldn't figure out how to rotate it, so sorry it's sideways.

I'm not 100% happy with it, I wish I hadn't done the black outline on the lemon pony's symbols, but they weren't showing up without it. Yellow is just hard to work with! The background was kind of hurriedly done...I hate drawing backgrounds. I know I should have used one of the other suggested ponies, but I've been wanting to draw a lemon pony for a while, and it seemed perfect to pair him with Strawberry Faire and pretend that they own a farm and fruit market together. His name is Lemule (corny play on words, I know, but I couldn't resist!) Here they are thanking Azalea for pollinating their flowers, resulting in a bountiful harvest for all to enjoy.

Yesterday we were stuck inside with a tornado warning, so it was the perfect excuse to get some drawing done. It was fun to make!

I love everyone else's artwork...it's fun to see all the different art styles.

ETA: Oh, and thanks! Maybe someday I'll try my hand at a custom of the lemon pony...that is, if I can ever find a baity enough Big Brother to sacrifice to make him!

I might have to add a Meadowbrook to my collection now...I don't generally seek out G3s, but some of them are so pretty that I have a handful in my wish list, and I think I need to have her (and maybe her playset even) now!

Thank you! Goodness, he's pricey. I put him in my watch list to think it over...he would be a perfect base! That Mimic pose one I saw a while back would have been a steal by comparison...maybe I should have tried harder to bid on it. I'm not sure I trust my customization skills enough yet to sink a lot into a base until I practice on a few more trashed baits before I take this one on!

My design of the generation 1 pony, Sugarberry, as a generation 4 pony. I did not put symbols all over her body because the body is too compact to fit them well. Also, if this were to hypothetically be on the show, symbols all over the body probably wouldn't work with the way it is animated.
