Title: What size gems do I need to make baby twinkle eyed ponies?

As the title says I want to turn some ponies into twinkle eyed ponies. I don't know which size gems I need for the G1 ponies. Please help.

I use 5mm or 6mm round chatons (they have a point on the back) but flat backs work just as well.

As the title says I want to make some of my bait ponies into princess ponies. I'm not cutting into the ponies, I'm going to make the symbols.

I just don't know which size gems I need for the middle of the symbols.
