Hello all!
I'm not a real doll collector, but I'm starting to reunite with some of the pieces of my LLL childhood collection. I didn't have many, but I can say that LLL and Rainbow Brite were the only dolls I ever really liked.
So, as I wait for my Silkymane and I close a trade for a Lady Lovely Locks doll, could I please see your collections? please?

I wish I had some. I loved lady lovely locks when I was a kid. I had a book, a sort of activity book but soft covered not like an annual, but it had some constellations and the names and I can still remember the pictures. Every time I look at the sky I think of Leo and Scorpio surrounded by pixietails like the pictures in the book. It actually really helped me to identify the stars.
10/10 would read it again if I could

I'm pretty I got in on the last of the Lady Lovely Locks line because a lot of stuff in the pamplet wasn't in the stores any more. Just the Sparkle Pretty and ballerina dolls.
A few years ago I finally found copy of the hardcover Lady Lovely Locks and the Pixietails: A Fairy Tale Adventure. which expalins how Lady Locks became the ruler of Lovely Locks and why she had rainbow colored hair.

Oh!! Nice!! There are so many things there I didn't even knew existed!! I recently learned that those cats and dragons belonged to LLL. XD

I only had a kids lab tray with LLL on it as a kid. I never had any dolls or merch otherwise. My cousin had a handful of dolls, and the bedroom and salon/spa playsets. I used to love putting them together and playing with them. The Pixie tails were always so neat. I would love to see more pictures. I would not mind having a few that I remember but the only thing I have come across over the years is the random pixie tail. For some reason, I just don't really see the playsets or dolls much.

I got some pictures of my Lady Lovely Locks books. This one took me a while to track down as I could only remember a small portion of it after reading it once at my friend's house (She had all kinds of toys)

I have at least one silky pup and a few (also rare) pixie tails. I would consider selling them to a LLL collector though. Thought of expanding this collection but it's best (space wise) if I don't. LOL.

I recently learned that what I thought was an MLP fakie was in fact Silkypup. XD
I love LLL, especially the books, audio dramas, and the show! It had really deep lore and the characters are so interesting! I wish some of the storyline characters had gotten toys, but I'm really glad Duchess Ravenwaves did.

I had Lady Lovelylocks as a kid- I still have her, although somehow over the years her head detached itself from her body :cry: Anyone know how to fix that sort of thing? I still have her, and the dress. Her pixietails got lost over the years though. I think I gave them to others after LLL lost her head.
I always wanted to get Maiden Fairhair and Ravenwaves when I was a kid. Those were my fav characters. Even though Ravenwaves wasn’t exactly that nice, I thought she was insanely pretty! I wanted Prince Strongheart too, but more as the love interest. Usually, that was what the boys were in my toy stories ;)

Fixing doll heads/necks isn't that hard... you just need some superglue and some patience to re-sculpt a bit. :)

Re-sculpt? Now, you see -to me that sounds difficult :lol: I am not super handy. Do you know of any tutorials? Maybe I’ll see if I can find her in my old toy box. And fix her up ;)

I remember I had Lady Lovelylocks herself... the brown haired one & the one with the mermaid tail skirt. Also I may have had the price to!

Yes, it's nothing special. Just a little nob at the end just like a Barbie doll or nearly every other kind of fashion type doll you have ever seen.
There are plenty of cheap dolls on ebay who can spare a body. If not today, than just keep an eye out. I would consider $3-$5 + shipping reasonable.
Just be very careful when removing the head- hold the head under very hot water (like hot tap water) for a while and that should soften the plastic for easier work. You can also use a hair dryer but I always fry the hair or burn my fingers that way...

Oh my goodness, this thread is amazing... Lady Lovely Locks is my favorite of the things I have, though I don't have very much! I'm so glad to see that people still love them, I'm always looking to expand my collection so this is a great reference! Thank you to everyone that has posted so far!
I love the whimsical femininity of this franchise's art and character design, I think it's just lovely!
