I have to thank himmie for being willing to part with her - honestly I wish she were a solid black sparkle pony with a space theme IMO would be perfect, but I like this dark dark dark green just fine

ya'll have any "discolored" ponies that ya don't think are ugly but actually an improvement in some way? I was actually tempted to put her in the tweak the color scheme thread that admittedly, if I had my wish would be a navy blue with lavendar and silver tinsel and then a silver and purple spaceship = now that, to me, would be a star hopper space pony

I know,right? I would love to find the perfect regrind partytime = the "extra" neon I think is actually an improvement for a party pony... just the way my 80's eyes see things

Whoa! I have never seen one that color! She sure is pretty and unusual.
I have a Ringlets who is gray and I love her that way.

She does look pretty awesome like that. With the dark color she's more space themed, with the green she's more alien themed maybe (little green men -> little green ponies?). I like both.
I don't think I have any ponies that are discolored evenly enough to look good.

She looks really cool like that! I like her better that way than the way she's supposed to look.
The only discolored one I can think of that I have that may be a happy accident is my Baby Cuddles. She has faded/yellowed to a light green rather than blue, and I was thinking of customizing her into a Baby Minty, since she is now exactly the same shade as Minty. Not sure I'll have the guts to actually alter her though, as she is a childhood pony, but the idea is in the back burner of my mind in case I happen upon another yellowed Cuddles in a bait lot. Oh, and my 'purple' Baby Ember is the same way; faded to gray, and it is my plan to make a Baby Snuzzle out of her...she is not a childhood pony, so there is no sentimentality holding me back from painting a couple of hearts on her rump and renaming her.

I think the sparkle ponies are an overall good group for "alternate" coloring

now I would love to find a blue rocket (or is that the color it's supposed to be? I always thought she was greenish...)
and there is supposedly a brown napper and a clear twinkler
love that there are always ponies to hunt for...

so I'm wondering if the blue/green is the intended color? I actually like the darkened version. I am not much a fan of the glow-in-dark gimick but I admit a dark translucent pony makes more sense IMO for a night-time sky

I have yet to find that "perfect regrind" party-time but i know she's out there...
so yep, always MLP to be on the hunt for ;-) always a great excuse to grow the shelf herd
