Agreed. I am pretty sure it has safety warnings about playing with it, or it should do. So that's just weird that it's included there.

Very cool to see MLP making a good showing though. I find that most countdowns or shows about toys belittle MLP and most girls' toys because obviously only boys toys are respectable *rolls eyes*.

And kudos to the BBE :) They need the attention too :D

Wasn't a "stick" on the list last year? I feel like including "found" items is just ridiculous. I get that kids can play with whatever. But I feel like a "Hall of Fame" list should only include items actually made by people and intended as a toy.

(I did my part and voted for ponies, too)

I think Wiffle Ball is an American thing, I've heard about it but have never met anyone who played it... So it coming second pft.
I understand Pez being included, and taking the lead, they are very iconic even if not strictly a toy.

At least a wiffle ball is a legit toy. I've never seen a kid actually play with a PfeffErminZe dispenser (Yes, the name is derived from the German word for peppermint. Why? Because it was originally mints, not candy that the company made). They eat the candy and throw away the dispenser, unless their moms buy them candy refills. Even then, usually parents will buy their kid a new dispenser because the kid is already bored with the one they have.

Anyway, I did vote for the ponies of course but they are hundreds of votes ahead with that candy dispenser so we will need to get on to it

Its a hard ball with holes in it. I'm not sure if this is how its meant to be played, but my schools had us using Sparkletts water jugs, (you know like the kind you see at the water dispenser) as a bat. Its pretty much just a slightly weirder form of baseball.

I mean yeah they license dispensers for a lot of things (probably the only reason people buy them to begin with, at least, I won't buy any PEZ unless I get an MLP or Sanrio item out of it), but let's face it that's probably one of the only reasons most people buy them, aside from those who collect any and all dispenser. The candy itself is so sub-par...

I bet you can also vote from different IP addresses/different computers as there's no authentication step to the vote process.

Yeah, Pez being sooo far ahead of everything else is really fishy. I just don't believe Pez is that popular with the general public.

But, eh, I don't think this poll actually does anything. I've gotten the impression that a separate professional panel actually chooses the ones that go into the Hall of Fame. I think the poll is just for fun.

However, there is a huge collector following with actual conventions. I could see their groups getting wind of the vote and putting the word out through the grapevine.
