Looks like the non-glimmer wings Ploomette is going to be an extra/bonus pony.

Take Daisy Dreams and Rarity for example. But if it is going to be a europe exclusive, then I hope we have some good people on here from EU who wouldn't mind making a deal with NA Arena-users...

Yes, that would be WAY worse. Twilight and Pinkie Pie are the only ponies I have two of. (Pinkie Pie being Shie Bright MIB, and Twilight a different pose.)

Some of those shouldn't actually count even though they are licences by Hasbro, most of those are Merch not the toys themselves. International sets seem get more toy exclusives, this would make number 7 if you don't count the Star Dreams set (which I still think was an Int'l set)... This doesn't include Target and TRU sets as I don't know how some of those are handled but I could have sworn I've seen some people outside the US state the found some of those sets, but I could be wrong x:

Edit: Also not everyone collects the merch., many of us just collect the toys xD

I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic for the time being, because I really want her! I've wanted her since I saw the Glimmer Wing version (which I refuse to pick up) so one way or another she's joining my herd.

Than there is still Zecora (who is already not very cheap), the entire nightmare moon pack (that is huge and was not the cheapest to ship), white talking Celestia, fashion style Shining Armor/ Cadance, glimmer wing Sweetsong, glimmer wing Diamond Rose and pretty much all target/ TRU blindbag packs.

I have also never seen any of the talking plush anywhere. I mean, yes some Target/TRU packs get here (after a long time). A lot don't. Like the Celestia/ Luna fashion pack. None of the "collector" stuff got here, it never did.
So even without the merch, there is still a lot of importing for us to do. Hence why i think people going "oh noes an international exclusive, i'll never get her!" are a bit silly. I'm sure plenty of members can pick one up.

To be fare though, not a lot of US people seen some of these releases here either because of Hasbro's horrid distribution. I've never seen Diamon Rose (both the glimmer wing and the regular) and cherry pie here... I had to personally trade for those two, Zecora was an iffy one because if you didn't have a TRU you had to over price for the single online, Nightmare Moon set was also a similar situation as Zecora. Actually I haven't -seen- White talking Celestia myself. So really many of us are missing out on some things (exclusive or not).

But that's why we have the trading here on the Arena too which helps to some degree. I still haven't gotten some of the Int'l exclusives because yeah shipping and some people just charge far too much for them anyway :(

I think this works both ways. I'm getting brassed off with all the TRU and Target exclusives that never make it here, but I'm more than happy to pick up any European exclusives to trade for those if I can.

Please bear in mind that in the UK that we pay about $8 for a basic brushable before we even start looking at the sets! I know that some people go "OMG Rare!" and throw the price right up there, but ponies are expensive here and even more so in some other countries. That set with Daisy Dreams and the scooters (I can't remember which other pony is in there) is about $32. :(

I'm personally tired of all the TRU Exlusives myself but I can past most of them up because ick clones. Which is why I haven't bought very many ponies lately either, clones clones clones. Though I did forget they would be more expensive elsewhere, though it sounds like the prices are possibly somewhat similar to TRU's prices.. Bleh

Sometimes they'll list new brushables or older releases for really cheap... and then other times they list Lyra Heartstrings and Trixie as "extremely rare!" for 60+ dollars... Ah well. That depends on the country. There is no TRU in Belgium.

I ll second that thought - we didnt see SkyWishes or StarSwirl in the UK and Daisy Dreams and Rainbow Flash only turned up in stores which carry unused stock in batches of 1 to 2 at a time normally. In fact Australia has had the best bonus pony coverage of anywhere so far...and thats pretty far from Europe lol.

Its 50/50 on exclusives to be honest if you add up actual ponies. And that's because Hasbro US and Hasbro UK/International work differently - they buy lines from one another, they commission their own ponies, they have different marketing strategies and plans. The reason the bonus packs have been international so far is because the ponies which go with them have been requested/ordered by Hasbro UK/Australia.

Yes, this is a bonus pack and yes I would strongly suspect this means she is going to be a bonus pony for various countries but I am going to continue to hope it gets as wide a release in as many places as possible until proven otherwise.

There is no guarantee they will make it to the UK - we often dont get the same releases as mainland Europe. We missed out on SkyWishes and StarSwirl and Rainbow Flash and Daisy Dreams only turned up in TK Maxx as excess stock products.

If we are getting them in main stream stores they should be out any time soon as they will be lined up along with wave 9 and 10 of the brushables which are in store now. So I would keep an eye out and lets hope they make it here too :)

I actually prefer the GW version since I'm fond of the peacock motif, so I don't think I'm going to pick this one up. She certainly is cute though!

It actually happens because different Hasbros commission different products in order to suit their markets. If she is an international pony like Star Swirl and Skywishes before her, she will be a design created by Hasbro UK/Europe/International; she will not be product designed by US Hasbro. Honestly Hasbro US may have no clue as to her existence.

Hasbro International has traditionally liked bonus ponies and bonus products on items - we saw quite a bit of this in the G3 line as well - 7 or 8 of the 22 total Breezie ponies ever released were "bonus" ponies on international releases.

Different international subsidiaries of the same company each commissioning production of the same product under a different name or different finish is a reasonably common thing in order to appeal or appreciate their own market in - but we don't think of it with ponies often as its not obvious.

In the US you have a Milky Way produced by Mars...the exact same chocolate bar is repacked for the European market and called a Mars Bar. We also do have Milky Ways but you call them 3 Musketeer. Same company, same product but Mars in the US orders and distributes the item one way and Mars in Europe a different way.

I'm reasonably sure sellers like that only sell factory rejects, prototypes or bootlegs, (no packaging, many rare/set exclusive ponies with none other from that set?) however I've been surprised that I've not heard any complaints about their quality until now :O

I think I'm gonna have to ask my mum's German friend to try and find me this set, along with one of those NICI plushies...
