honestly, I find these *adorable* and can't wait to get my hands on Pinkie!
however, why do they always make fluttershy have such a... O_O look. her eyes always bug me so much, except for the very first few releases where she doesn't perpetually stare at you as though she didn't sleep for weeks. xD

Loving the variety of poses but I'm not too sure about their faces. Why is it that Hasbro seems so determined to make ponies look less and less horselike with every incarnation?

So are we officially calling them 4.5's? Because I basically got my head bitten off a few months ago for suggesting 4.5 when they were first spotted.
I bought Cadance and Shining Armor on ebay from a seller in China and am waiting for them to arrive. I think most of them are ugly, but the royal couple seemed cute to me. lol

They're kind of cool and I like that they have actual hair instead of it being molded on, but that opened mouthed expression I feel only a few ponies could pull off. It's rather...weird seeing several different characters with the same level of enthusiasm and makes it seem over the top, maybe even a bit forced...Though if they are putting more variety into the poses maybe they can do so with expressions next?
I will say I really like Lyra's mix of white streaks in her green hair a lot.

Agreed. The muzzle is so much higher than the lower part of their eyes, it looks wonky. But happy to hear about an Euro sighting, maybe they'll be here soon too!

I think when these were first spotted, people were sure that they were just some kind of limited release related to the movie.
But it seems now like it is the new re-booted look for the ponies moving forward. So I do agree "4.5" is a good descriptor for them.
I do actually really love the way their bodies look and how they pose- finally they are doing different things! Plus the wing shape and leg shapes are pretty nice. It's just the head I'm not loving - it just seems too big, and when the mouth is open- I really don't like them. The closed mouth ones are kinda cute but not cute enough to tempt me to buy. Probably just as well!

I wonder if they are something that could be 'body-switched' with the current G4s? Then we could have faces we either like or are at least more used to as well as having much more dynamic posing which is something the G4 line has been lacking since release imho.

*puzzled* they're just new poses, since when do we change generation numbers for minor stylistic variants? By that metric, we'd have new Gens for every type of pony in G1, some of which are wildly dissimilar from the originals. Still look recognizably like G4's to me?

While I think they are cute, I don't plan to collect them. I still haven't seen them in person though since they haven't show up around here. But no one seems to be restocking the original brushables anymore. At least not in my area. So I'm sure they are on their way.

I know.. prices of ponies here are atrocious...
Glad i'll move to France before the end of the year, they are about 3 to 4€ cheaper per piece over there...

Oh but that's not even bad. The basic ones are €10,99 a piece. :rofl: It seems that every wave they release raises the price for an euro or two. I think I'll be waiting for the sales if I want to get these.

I found new look ponies yesterday, both yarn hair, purse ponies and carded singles (and Rarity's catwalk playset). Here in sweden a single is around €9. I'm so jealous of you guys who get them for like $5.99 xD
