Inspired by last year's thread - what happened with your pony collection this year? Any additions? Did you downsize? Get any grails? Any that slipped through your fingers?

We went once this year to the swap meet after it reopened in May or June, and the Basic Fun ones I bought on Ebay.

I finally got my hands on an MIB Snow'El, the g3 25th anniversary collector set (also MIB), and I'm currently working on adding g5 ponies on my shelves (they're pretty few and far between where I live).

I can't wait to see what I add to my collection in 2022  (Hopefully more Hitch, as he's not being produced as much).

Quite a few, including pleasant surprises. Mainly because this was the year I joined here!!!

My G3 Breezie collection went from 3 to 17, plus a long train for them to ride in

I ticked off a Halloween Pony & a missing Xmas Pony

I kept up with HQG1C releases & also made a few Customs & a LOAD of Custom outfits

I added accessories to my Custom buildings, including some I made myself & some I  adjusted myself

I have the G2 castle, two trike twins with trikes, & several more G2s as well

I have some "twins" for Tootsie, Butter Kiss, Napper, & Splashes, a couple of Butterscotches, & my TWO ARGIE PONIES!!!

I was doing a load of sorting & changed over a collection shelf, making my collection more organised yaiy!!!

I've also gone into the repro market, getting from Pink Kittywinks, Lilywork, & others, to give Ponies, & Customs, accessories with the right feel to them (I still swear by Pink Kittywinks bandannas for Custom Boys, & also have my HQG1C males decked in her bandannas)

I have added to my comic collection, with G2 Comics, G3 comics &  more G1 comics all bought this year

I've even added fakie animals!!!

Laxt but not least, I've shortened the G4 want list & started my G5 collection!!!

I  think pretty much only basic fun ponies came into my collection this year. There may have been some other bits and pieces but I can't remember any clearly :/

No ponies moved in or out this past year. My Mom sent me a G4 coloring book at Easter, but that’s the only merch I got all year. I’ve kinda only stuck in it this past year to see how G5 developed but it did not pique my interest. It’s probably safe to say I’m done at this point.

Thanks for this thread! Let's see, I haven't really looked at my goals since that last post... Probably did not meet too many of them, as the year turned out to be quite stressful in terms of work and other areas of RL.

1. Add new shelves to my old cabinet. This has been on my to do list since the move but...
2. Buy at least one army pony! Butterscotch or Gusty. Baby Gusty (NBBE) still eludes me, that would be a good place to start! Or the Basic Fun repros.
3. Complete some more sets! I'd very much like to complete my Newborn Twin sets, and I'm only missing two of the single NB babies. I'm missing some common early US ponies, and the Happy Tails set should be easy enough to complete, just to mention a few.
4. Do some more custom swaps! Perhaps host a swap?

1. I still haven't added those shelves. Oh well.
2. I purchased the BF Gusty but other than that my army didn't grow. I bid on Baby Gusty at some point but lost the auction (not sure if this was 2020 or 2021 though...  )
3. Yes I managed to complete a couple of sets! Not as many as I would've liked, but at least I was able to focus on certain sets even if I couldn't complete them. I don't want to be too strict with my collecting so there were some impulse buys as well!
4. Nope, no custom swaps for me this year. And no customs to speak of... I made one, and worked on another, but that's it. I did buy a couple of stunning customs, and one of them was a sort of grail, so that's something!

I watched the G5 movie and it was enjoyable enough, but the toys were a big disappointment. I don't think any of them will enter my collection, although I'm intrigued by their potential as custom baits.

Woop, one last surprise pony for 2021 arrived tonight! A late Xmas present! Funko POP Blue Belle - OMG she's gorgeous! Though I don't get why her hair's hot pink instead of purple... (Edit: oh wait, did they base her off the 25th anniversary version? That release had pink hair, right? But the others don't have their 25th ann. neon colours, so hmm...) and it still annoys me that they made her a Hot Topic exclusive But petty complaints aside, eee new pony! Now I just need to track down the Cotton Candy keyring. :3
