I had a half day at work today and decided to swing by my local comic shop with my extra time. They've had an out-of-box My Little Pony bishoujo figure of Fluttershy I've been pining for for months, since she's the last one I needed to complete my collection.

Today, the employee misread the $299 price tag for $29. I gave him EVERY OPPORTUNITY to correct himself, even pointed out how much the price must have dropped since last time I was in.

After my $20 rewards coupons, I walked out with a figure that regularly sells for $500-600 for 11 bucks after tax.

I am the HAPPIEST COLLECTOR

The Kotobikiya bishoujo line is mostly comic book women and re-imagined horror characters, but they started doing the MLP line a bit ago and I'm completely obsessed with them. Luna and Celestia are coming out soon and I can't wait to get them!

For everyone wondering, the employee seems fine lol. The shop doesn't track specific inventory (It's one of those places that just lists everything as "action figure" or "comic book"), so I doubt anyone is even aware of the error. And in fact, upon seeing him behind the counter today, I think he's actually a manager. Somehow?

WOW what a deal!! I'm glad to hear that the employee/manager didn't get in any trouble!! Maybe (if he's a manager) he made the executive decision to mark down the price, if she's been sitting there for months? Who knows! Way to go!!!
