I have taken various supplements in the past, but never felt any different for them :( The only one that seemed to help was a fish supplement which was to support the nervous system. but they stopped making it and the replacement product had a nasty side effect.

I do take vitamin D, which is prescribed by my gastroenterologist, my vitamin D levels are super low, even in the summer months. I have Coeliac Disease, which means I can't absorb or process vit D very well. My last DEXA scan came back showing a decease in my bone density, so my gastroenterologist decided it was time to put me on something permanent.

I just take a regular multivitamin every day because I have a large amount of food that I can't eat because I'm intolerant to them. My doctor tried to convince me initially that I didn't need vitamins even after I got the diagnosis back. She said that, "people who eat a regular varied diet don't need vitamin supplements." Which is fine, but she was totally unconvinced that my diet had changed much even though it had to change drastically. So I didn't take vitamins for a while. Lo and behold, my fingernails started to grow in wavy. I went out and got a multivitamin, started taking them, and my nails are back to normal again. Wish she had just taken me seriously to begin with!

I see my doctor on Monday. I'm going to bring her all my vitamins and get her opinion. I think I'm having blood drawn so I can ask her to check my levels too.

I have a prescription for vitamine B12 and during the dark months I take vitamine D. Both are part of my morning routine.

I take Odourless Garlic tablets (not the capsules because they were not good) for heart health, and multi vitamin and cod liver oil capsules.

After speaking to my dr, I am now taking prescribed iron and folate tablets. I am hoping I will start to feel less tired and my hair will stop coming out. I have to get more bloods done in a few months. I do eat red meat and foods that contain iron and folate, being Coeliac means my body just cannot absorb or hold on to it :(

Aside from being a Flinstones kid, I stopped taking daily multivitamins after age 10 on a regular basis.

Sometimes vitamin D; B complex & iron if a notice my lips start to get dry and crack, mainly in the winter months. I've had to do this for a good two decades now.
Since the start of 2020 once or twice a week I take a regular multivitamin.
Grass fed collagen 5x a week (could do more), this is taken in vain, thinning hair is not fun.

I got a new multivitamin that has 100% iron in it since I'm anemic. I don't really want to take iron pills by themselves. Done that before, not pleasant.

Iron is difficult to digest. If I was taking it I was piggy backing with vitamin C as that is supposed to help things along. I'd notice a positive difference after a few days.

I haven't had too many issues yet, fingers crossed.

My sleep has been so bad lately and I take two medicines for sleep, so i thought maybe it was something else I was taking. I did some research and one of the things I was taking at night should be taken during the day, B12. It made sense when I read that, because B12 is supposed to energize you. So duh. My biotin pill also contains B12, so I moved it to my day pills too.

I forgot to bring them with me the last time I saw my doctor, but I see her again the 27th and I'll be sure to bring them. I want to be certain I'm not taking too much of something.

Could you set a reminder on your phone, or perhaps take them with a meal (breakfast for example) I have to leave my tablet boxes out next to my toaster to help me remember to take them everyday :)

It does take time to form a routine/habit with taking medication.

I take a multivitamin in a gummy form. For some reason, the pill version causes me to puke.
I also used to take a huge amt of iron per Drs prescription for anemia but it never helped. I ended up getting Iron transfusions.
