What device do you play Pokemon Go on?
« on: February 17, 2022, 10:29:09 PM »
I think I need to update/upgrade my phone.  But if I'm going to upgrade, I want one that will play Pokemon Go better than this one does.  I currently have a Samsung J3 Star.  When I play Pokemon Go there is terrible lag that makes curve balls or any accurate throwing extremely difficult and battling is impossible because the lag prevents me from being able to use charged attacks.  It is not my provider as some of my friends that play have the same provider and no issues and I have logged into my account on my nephew's phone and my game worked perfectly so it's not something wrong with my account.  I'm pretty positive the issue is with my phone being an older model.

So what I want to know is:
1) what do you use?
2) what do you love/hate about it?
3) do you recommend it for me?

(I figured this topic went here instead of Off Topic but if I'm wrong, mods would you please move it for me? Thanks!)

I have a Galaxy Note 10, and it plays PoGO well. I mostly got it so that I can draw on it, but even besides that, it's a very decent phone. I love it.

I have an iPhone 11. I haven't played PoGo since last summer, but last I played it ran very smooth and nice :) I like my phone, no issues other than now that I've had it for a while, I need to erase stuff off it or the memory gets full every now and then. Whether I'd recommend it or not depends on what else you use your device for, and what your budget is ^^'

I hadn't had a smartphone until last June, but now I'm actually thinking about maybe installing that game.
