Well, the bad man DeJoy isn't out of the office yet so...
It's that time of year again, time for the USPS to slow down your packages while they raise the rates on shipping. I'm a bit late with the announcement this year from the usual business news sources (sorry) so you only have until Oct. 3 to send out items for the holidays (or buy them) at normal postal prices. This doesn't seem to be affecting out of the country? So hopefully pen pals are safe from hikes.

Fortunately pony stuff is rarely over 10 pounds worth, so it will not see the worst of the hikes. Amazon also won't be affected, but I know there are Etsy users and Etsy fans here and last year it was affected so probably this year too it will. Likely Ebay too?
What's good: Last year they were honest* and put the rates back down after Dec whatevereth, so it'll do that again
Dec is also possibly a chance for the postal board to oust this DeJoy guy for any of a myriad reasons so that the PO can become normal again and it won't have to do this every year. As usual, if you want to expend a stamp, write or call your state legislators and ask for DeJoy to be removed.
*Honest?
Yes, they hiked rates last year at about mid/late Oct but they really did put them down again once the season ended. A dishonest example was the airlines and the bag fees, before 9/11 there didn't used to be those and then they implemented and just kept them. Same with the price of gas before and after=went up and stayed up.
