BBE Replacement Suggestions?

Hi all!

I recently got some ponies off ebay. I was soooo happy to see some BBE included because I love them and think they're so sweet! (Unpopular opinion lol). But to my disappointment, though they looked perfectly good in the listing, they do have rust. I tried everything to get them clean but it just seemed impossible to get all the way in there to remove all that rust. So sadly, I popped the eyes out  I know that I could stick some clay in there and paint on traditional G1 eyes, but I'd prefer to preserve the look of the bbe if possible... I was thinking of finding some glass doll eyes that I could pop in, paint an eyelid on, and glue on some lashes, but I can't find any eyes that would work online... Does anyone know of any good options? My next move is to try to make some myself using either sculpey and uv resin. I need to come up with a solution fast because their gaping eye sockets stare into my soul

I've always thought homemade resin eyes would look spectacular on them. I think I remember Snapdragon made a twinkle eye baby once...

Maybe ball jointed doll eyes?

You could use donor eyes. I have a couple of sets of BBE eyeballs floating around, and will at some point have more as I continue to convert my BBE ponies to standard-eyed babies.

OOOPs sorry no I was thinking of twinkle eye replacements.
