I do enjoy eggs BUT... I'm allergic to them! If I eat them in trace amounts (ie baking) it's fine. if its something like Mayonnaise I end up congested. Eating them in bulk makes me very unwell.

Interesting! Is it all eggs? Like do you have the same problem with quail?

Quite uncommon here and for me its easy enough to avoid them instead. :)

I had bad stomach reactions to them for a time but I think I've gotten over it. I don't enjoy them plain but they make for excellent added protein in corned beef hash or stir fry.

I am similar, if I eat a boiled or fried egg I become unwell quite quickly :toot: :X :help :but I can tolerate them in baked goods, small amount of mayonnaise or in egg fried rice, so basically if it is diluted.

I had a talk with an NHS dietician about it some years ago, it is more of an intolerance than a true allergy. She also told me the longer the egg is cooked, the more the proteins are broken down, so the more I am able to tolerate it. This explains why I can manage baked or well cooked foods with egg, but not quicker cooked goods like a soft boiled egg.

I bought some fresh hash browns, veggie hickory smoked bacon (or facon, as I call it  ) and plan to make an omelet with onions and tomatoes. Think I'll make that for dinner, yum!

That actually sounds really good right now. (Except for the onions, I'm allergic!) I might make something similar today.
