G3 Twirlerina's hair disintigrating - anyone else?

About Petal Blossom, the one that came with the free baby has hair made of a different material than the one without the free baby.  I know because Back In The Day when they were in stores I customized one of each . . . the Free Baby one has hair made of a material that doesn't take dye well.

I would guess that's the one with disintegrating hair.  Even new, it felt kind of dry and crunchy.

Yeah she basically looks brown to me (the rust is really bad, I'll probably cut rest of the hair and clean her from the inside since I kind off gave up on her yesterday).
Also this one has basically no glitter for whatever reason.

I'm not sure what the exact science is behind it but the g3 glitter ponies are known to dramatically discolour and the glitter disintigrates, somehow. The Glitterbelle I have is, insofar, still purple and still glittery.

Sadly the December birthflower g3 I have lost all her dark red hair as I was doing a gentle wash. I bought her new in store myself too, so it’s especially scary. Even being stored and not damaged or played with and it can happen.

I need to go through my collection and see who else may have this problem

A friend of mine just got in touch with me asking if I knew any restorers. The orange on one of her ponies is kaput.

Oh gosh-thanks for the info! I bought this release of petal blossom from new and she’s (so far) the only one of my ponies losing their hair…
I’ve kept her mane and tail plaited to stop me accidentally pulling it out.

I've cleaned one Star Dasher and two of Hidden Treasure all were fine so far. You can never be too careful though.
I did clean a g3.5 Cheerilee (the one with changeable pigtails - Super Long Hair Ponies) two days ago and all of the dark pink hair broke off when I was brushing her tail. So that's another color (I'm pretty sure it's a bit different compared to the one that Twirlerina had) to add to the list.

Whelp, toss first release Blossomforth on the list. I was getting her all cleaned up to give to a friend and a chunk of hair came out when I tried combing it. I was able to rip out the rest of her mane with one good tug. She's in the bat box now because she has some chew marks to her nose too.
