Since the old thread was locked, here is the next reimagining!
I wanted to let you all know the current community event has a gem producing shop!!! And if you are this late to it, its a good bet you will be in a low bracket and have a chance to win it if you have a couple ponies for it. A cheap x4 is 120 gems... 4 days left as of this post.

How did you do? I managed to keep top 36-46 for most of the event. It really all came to the x4 pony that was strangely cheap to get.

Not good.  I had some real life stuff going and kept forgetting about the event.  There's always the next one though.

Had anyone had problems with the new update and maze? Mine keeps freezing non stop, I can’t do anything.

I think almost everyone did.  I couldn't even enter the maze. I think Gameloft is going to fix the maze event and then restart it.

I redownloaded the game only to delete it today (after a few weeks) because it glitched out, kept reloading old quests (never resetting my progress, only just allowing me to re-complete them) and I was actually stuck and unable to get out of something. Not the maze, just the changeling kingdom for some reason? Oh well, not too long put into this file, not much lost.

Yes, the maze event will be restarted at some other point. I think they're planning on holding a "Blitz" in the meantime.

It wasn't too bad to get going. I was very familiar with the game from my time spent with it in high school, but I think it's not the absolute worst for newbies.
The biggest thing is to just watch ads when possible for score multipliers for the cart game, leveling up ponies, etc.
