i quite like a few of the designs, especially ol queenie there but the names are REALLY whack in this generation

I guess I'm in the minority here, because I really like the dads' designs I think it's because of certain fan artists like Lopoddity and Earthsong9405 on DA, who use that exact type of sideburns as shorthand for "dad pony". Alphabittle in particular looks like he walked straight off of Lopoddity's page (well ok, except for the stubby nose )

I really like him too, and I blame the same artists for it

I actually like the dad the best out of all of them. The name Argyle doesn't bother me, but combined with Starshine? Not only does it not 'go' together, it's not even sounding like it's going to be the family surname, since it's different than his daughter's. Perhaps the movie might tell us if there is an explanation for that; I suppose there are many reasons a daughter might have a different last name than her parents. The inconsistency in surnames is one thing that always bugged me in FiM...but then I'm one of those OCD types that likes everything to fit into nice, neat packages.

And then...Alphbittle. I don't even know what to think about him. He's a surprise, that's for sure! I like seeing a different body type on a pony, anyway. Not sure why he's so drab compared to the g3 pony by the same name though. Guess we'll find out!

I don't like the designs  , the round head, flat muzzles and big eyebrows, for me makes them look more like Paw Patrol puppies and not ponies
Also  the names doesn't sound pony at all

I generally like the designs of these characters.

Alphabittle looks like he belongs in the Spyro universe (to me at least) and i do not mind that. I like his design a lot more than that of most FiM ponies that had facial hair slapped on them. I look forward to seeing him animated.

Argyle is weird to me cause his face reminds me too much of a local, loud comedian. It is a bit jarring. X)

The only one i really do not like is Sprout. I find his colors unpleasant and that slick hairstyle that makes him look balding is not helping either. I have not been a massive fan of the male pony designs so far but Sprout is for sure the worst one to me.

Alphabittle and Haven do, only because there are ponies named Alphabittle and Haven Bay. Argyle and Sprout are blah blah boring. Phyllis isnt a good pony name, but neither is Logan Berrytown,  Soarin and Junior.

Just sharing confirmation on some new things! The movie will be a standard 90 minutes in length and will be rated PG!

Here's hoping they will give us a little nod to G1 as well. Maybe the remnants of dream castle or paradise estate somewhere in the distance, or the skeleton of a Grundle
