Alan Shumuckler and Michael Maher appear to be our newly listed composers for the new film. EQD discovered this after Alan's credit website was submitted, where he is cited as being behind the music and lyric production for "My Little Pony 2" (Netflix/Hasbro)

The movie title isn't updated there yet, I've seen "A New Generation" used pretty much everywhere else now.

On a sidenote, the duplicate wikis for G5 got redirected to my wiki since Fandom's policy is "no duplicates". It should be easier for people to find information and stay up to date now.

You know how in Animal Crossing, some villagers open their eyes wide and they're a completely different color, like white, red, or yellow? Maybe that's the deal with Pipp?

If the snouts were slightly longer the G5 designs would have been perfect in my opinion. But regardless me being picky.... I think the new ponies look hella cute!

After a decade of the ponies from G4 looking like chihuahuas.... I am ready for something new!

They just posted on their instagram account that the main ponies will be voiced by Vanessa Hudgens, James Marsden and other celebrities....

I have a feeling that when they'll do a G5 tv show... they'll change the voice actors for the characters because they wouldn't be able to afford them for a lower budget tv show.

I can say I definitely didn't expect most of these! I was a little apprehensive at some names but seeing the characters in the video with the voices isn't so bad. Really happy to have some new footage, a date, and the final title!

Hopefully all the other ponies here besides the "Mane 5" get some toys...

Also why aren't we seeing this logo used on the G5 toys and merchandise considering we now can see that they did in fact, create a new logo?

I like that logo. It reminds me of rainbow sherbert.

Am having trouble reconciling cute,  colorful Alphabittle with that boring, gray, gargoyle pony. No seriously,  he reminds me of Hudson.

Nice to see more boy ponies, though oh man Alphabittle doesn't suit him!! I don't mind his design but ugh why reuse an old name for such an entirely different design...

I was surprised to see Liza as part of the voice cast.

Incidentally, I'm mixed on the names in general - Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer sound more "MLP" if you only use their surnames in my opinion, but I guess Sunny Starscout works.  Zip Storm feels like a My Little Pony name, and Pip Petals... kind of does, but I'm not sure if the two words fit together or not (but thinking of it, they can both be floral, so... I guess.)  I get that Zip and Pip are supposed to fit together.

The names of the other characters I'm not sure of either.

Omg, all the new ponies are SO stinkin' cute! I'm crossing my fingers so hard that they all get brushable toys, especially Sprout and Phyllis! I love that there are already some variation in their body designs and it doesn't seem like they're all 1 of 4 basic designs.

Ooh those faces.    Sprout looks like he's balding. Argyle looks awful with that lantern jaw, and Phyllis is just a straight up G4, which is Yuck. Please stop with the bloated chihuahua head ponies. 1 step forward,  1 step back.
