Merry Treat(s) & the foot stamp inquiry

So, the question is, pat or non-pat on your Merry Treat?  I'm curious which of the two had more potential distribution, and where.

What a perfect pony to find second hand, in the bins! (Yaaaaaaay a pony!) New addition on the left ( just enjoyed her spa time ). Honestly had hoped to sell her as the one I already have is nice shape. A pleasant surprise, she is not pat pending, the one I have is pat pending. Something new is kinda nice!!!

No pat pend, China. Purchased from a fellow Finnish collector earlier this year, no idea of the pony's previous history.

Lighter symbol non pat bend china, bought from a German collector

My Merry Treats hooves say China, pat pending. She was a gift so I don’t know where she originally came from.

Mine is China, no patent pending. I found her in a thrift shop in Florida with ponies from her year, the previous, and the next, so I think they at least travelled together if they travelled at all. Two of them had rust in their hair, a Silky Slipper with hairties with metal clasps, the obvious source (I opened her and confirmed her washer was okay, as she's a ballerina... that is not meant to imply it was easy!) and one with an unknown source (Peekaboo-jointed Baby Paws has it at the ends of a portion of his mane, but not at the roots; obviously, it didn't come from his tail), but I feel like it could be a hairtie. Baby Sweetsteps has hair rot, which I believe is caused by heat, so that could imply she's a Florida native. There's no real way to tell that they came from the same owner, but I like to think that they did.

Mine says (c)'84 HASBRO and CHINA.  I got her secondhand so can't say for sure what her original country of purchase was, but probably North America at least.

Mine has no pat. pending but I don't remember where she came from. Probably somewhere in the US.

Mine says Hasbro 84 on one hoof and China on the other. I got her from a lot several years ago.

Seems like non pat pending may be more common from our small sampling.

My childhood Merry Treats has no patent pending mark.

I have an pat pend from USA and no pat pend from Finland.
