Lyrics for these French G1 songs?

So, if you saw my post a couple days ago about the G2 CDs, you'll probably have an idea how I ran across these. I was just digging around for the French G2 songs and stumbled upon some G1 songs! If you know me, you know I like obscure stuff, so these were an instant hit with me. They're all very sweet, but I have no clue what they're saying!

I believe that these were released throughout the 80s on various records with 2-4 each, and later released on one big album with all of them, called "Les Chansons de Mon Petit Poney" (The Songs of My Little Pony). I've seen records with a couple of these on them, but haven't gone looking to find them all.

The first track is the theme for the French dub of the 1986 series, extended of course! I thought only the Italian dub had an entirely new theme, but nope! The seventh track is an extended version of the My Little Pony 'n' Friends theme, with the classic MLP theme thrown in, in French. I believe the rest were written just for Mon Petit Poney, since not a single one doesn't mention a pony (at least from what I can understand!).

I know a little French, though it’s not enough to understand these for the most part. They sound like nice tunes, though. Side note, it was called Ma Petite Pouliche in Quebec and was listed as such in newspaper listings. I would guess that it had its own dub (though I’m not 100% sure), but I haven’t been able to find anything from it.

I've had this cassette for years xD I even used to have some of the songs on my website, though not for a long time. I think they're only obscure because people don't go looking for language stuff very much, but I found them when I was doing my A Levels (back in 1999-2000), since French was one of my subjects. (I have a bunch of French and Spanish Jem things as well, and a whole slew of G1 pony episodes on French DVD with the dubbed French songs.)

There have been discussions about it before but probably not for a long time. It's lovely to see them mentioned again.

I just noticed you mentioned records but I have them all on one cassette. Maybe like the song tape it has both versions. I've seen the same for the Italian theme. There's a tape out there somewhere with Italian songs as well as the Italian theme but I haven't managed to obtain it.

ETA - I dug out the archive old site page from my files and I mentioned on it the extended theme on record and cassette so clearly both do exist.

I checked my tape box and it was in there. It does have all the tracks mentioned so the YT upload is probably from the cassette. It's dated 1987 if anyone cares.

My French is too rusty and my brain is too much in Japanese mode to do coherent translations like I used to for French Jem songs and such. RoseNoire is much better placed to do that anyway <3 But I am glad to see them shared again, since they don't get a lot of attention.

I haven't listened to it carefully in detail but...MPP Japonnais sounds...omoshiroi ne.

RoseNoire - thank you for sharing that I could pickup the gist of it by listening but I have trouble sometimes picking out words when there's also music. I got most of the main details but wasn't quite sure how the drama ended - thank you for filling in the gaps xD.

It honestly sounds disturbingly like a story that belongs in my PhD thesis. It feels like it came right out of mediaeval Japan o.O

ETA - wait, a symbol of friendship?! Surely not?! Surely that's only allowed in G4 >.> xDDD

Ah it's now my favourite song on the tape. I never really listened to it before this conversation. Such a waste.
