Despite what it says on the internet (umm...except this statement, heh) variant Greek Starshine had glittery symbols (or at least this one did.)

She is brown, not cremello or cream. I'm almost sure its regrind...and what I used to call "oxidization" (yellowing) but maybe the latter always happens before or with the former, I'm not that experienced.

Listen I followed the instructions, I don't know where the pictures are, it was like seven pictures and took some labor.

The THIRD pony is Neraida. it's entire body is the color of cream mixed with coffee that is very old, so it is a very ash brown color, not cremello like in the pics (I learned to never trust variant Neraida photos!).

I think she was 80-120, but thats in mint condition, however pony prices are up now. Now that I look at the photos she is not that different from (hopefully) non reground/discoloured ones as they appear in sunlight in photos.

Please take the extra step to go to deviant art and look. I really tried to make the pictures work this time!

I can't answer your question but I think the problem with the image is that it's not an image url but a website url - at least, it doesn't have the suffix and opens up the whole DA page rather than just the image.

I don't know if with DA you can right click and show image/open image in new window and it will then give you a workable link for the Arena but I think that's the issue you're having.

Imgur has the same issue but you can extract out picture urls from that one and post them on here. So it may be worth trying with DA to see if that works.  ETA -  It only gives me a really long URL so I'm not sure it will -you may have to stick with the direct links rather than embedded images if you're gonna use DA.

Otherwise your direct link at the bottom does work. I'm gonna leave the Nirvana stuff to Nirvana people to talk about (but you'd probably do better putting it in the Nirvana forum where the experts lurk - maybe a mod will move it there for you)

I have had a look at your pictures of Starshine and none of them appear Greek to me

Greek rainbow ponies do not have a forelock, the eyes are heavier lined and they have a metallic paint symbol, not a glitter symbol and they have a unique, vanilla scent.

What are the hoof marks on your Starshines? Greek Starshine has no markings under her feet, except for a Δ (delta) symbol under one back hoof.

Unfortunately it is pretty common for Starshine's to turn brown over time

Well I guess its a North American pony (seller lived in Canada, not U.S.). The only RIT dye I've ever used that doesn't come off is blue.

is it a Variant? I really don't think its dyed, the color of the plastic is the same on this tiny part of the front hoof that is a little breakdowny/crumbly looking.

It's hooves say "Hong Kong" like a north American pony.

It sounds like a normal Starshine in that case.

There are 2 batch types of Starshine - those that go brown and those that don't. She's probably in the first category.

She is not a variant of any kind, with Hong Kong on her feet she is a "standard release" Starshine who is, sadly, discoloured due to her plastic starting to breakdown due to age

Hong Kong ponies were "standard release" and sold through out North America, Canada, the UK, Europe Africa and Australasia and no doubt some other places I have forgotten

Yeah... that’s just a Starshine in really poor condition. Some have more opaque plastic which stays a nice white while others have a different quality of plastic, usually a bit more transparent, that goes brown. It looks like she has ink stains too.

She’s not a variant, just over 30 years old.
