Help Downsizing My Collection
« on: November 08, 2020, 02:44:56 PM »
I don't really know how to deal with this one.  So I have a considerable pony collection, and for a variety of reasons, I need to part with quite a few of them.  It's got to be well over 100.  I have some pretty rare ones too.  I just don't have the time to list the ponies and deal with selling them.  I am hoping for suggestions.  Creating a lot with some of the specific ones in there feels like a waste.  I had a thought about maybe getting a pony person locally who would be willing to sell them for me and split the profit?  Is this reasonable?  I am open to any other suggestions.

Thank you!

I personally would sell all of the “common” ponies in a lot, “bait ponies” in a lot and then sell the rare ones separately.

I think your best bet would be to sell them here or eBay!

You could sell in complete sets if you have that/want to do that. Like, if you have all the Year One unicorns  that you don't want anymore,I would bundle and sell like that!
I also agree with what The-Extravagant-Pony said about common and bait bundles!

What would you consider to be "common" ponies?  Just trying to wrap my head around how I would divide that.

And thank you.

Like the most common G1’s that’s sell for around $10 and less a piece, but aren’t baits. Example; Windy, Sundance, etc. hope that helps!

I would personally check the value of each pony, put them in lots and then say discount the lot by $10-$20 each. They’d probably sell the quickest that way!

You could always just get a list of who you have, post it up somewhere and have people ask for a few at a time.

honestly if you can take  picture or two of the ponies you have for sale, folks here (myself included) would be pretty quick to let you know the commons vs the rares

I would suggest you check the values before you just sell the lot also

all the best !

Hi,

I’m in Ontario too, also will be downsizing shortly haha, but I’m looking for applejack items if you have any, let me know :). Where abouts in Ontario are you?
