On ther subject of names in other generations, do we really think that Truly and Scrumptious are coincidence and have nothing to do with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang??

I knew about the Doseydotes name but I don't think I ever heard that rhyme before.

Merriweather (instead of Merry Weather--this is an interesting one b/c AFAIK Merriweather is a man's name?  G3 says trans rights)

I never heard of shutterflies before, that's cool too know!   And I never knew that nursery rhyme!  I thought it was a play on "dosie-do" (not sure how to spell it, but I mean the square dance move).

What is Merry Weather?  I'm not familiar with that term either.

Merriweather is also a G1 pony name She's a TAF pony. So that's a straight up copy from G1...unless there's something specific about the G3 pony's appearance that I'm missing.

And I have never heard of Merriweather as a first name male or female.Just a surname.  But when you put it into google it's the name of a font. Apparently.

One of the FiM writers is named Merriwether Williams.  Different spelling, but that's one example.

I've admittedly never heard it used as a male name, but there you go.
