« on: August 12, 2020, 05:05:24 PM »
so. saddle stains. i have a few questions. i have a rough idea of what causes them but... are they reversible? and if i put something (like a cloth) in between the saddle and the pony could i theoretically keep it on for display? it looks really nice on sundance and i have nowhere else to put megan yet

Designer vinyl dolls often have tissue paper between them and black clotjing to prevent staining. I'm not a 100 percent sure this works but you can try it on a bait and see what happens. I'm not sure about the rest, sadly.

saddle stains have to be sun faded out, not easy.
best to place plastic wrap between saddle and pony so the plastics don't touch.
cloth can also bleed its dye unless you soak  in white vinegar for an hour or so, then rinse all the way and then it should be safe.

Acid free white tissue paper would be a smart idea to put under the saddle (or any plastic item touching the pony).
