Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain to return?

I just saw a youtube video that said Animaniacs is set to return this fall?  Hope they don't change the character design too much.  Original voice cast to return.

I saw official artwork yesterday and they look the same with just a very small but still eye pleasing tweak in the style.

Does every classic movie/show really need a modern reboot?

A lot of stuff I would love to have simply just return/come back, but not reboot/restyle, etc.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on this for a while... I'm surprised it's coming out this year, I thought I heard they were delaying it due to problems getting the orchestria together or something. Good to hear that's not the case!

I'm..... concerned..... since they didn't get any of the original writers back, and it looks like most of the supporting cast have been cut.... plus boy am I tired of the unending reboot parade. ~_~ I'm really worried they'll screw this up... But we'll see how it goes, I guess.

Pinky and the Brain was such a hoot! I caught an episode at family members house last year, so insanely clever...  (Theme song is my BFF's ringtone...) Not so much into Animaniacs.

No cable, no streaming services, I miss out on new stuff...

I'll raise this topic from the dead if I may. I wanted to post in my own cartoon thread but saw there already is a topic, so...

I just recently finished the first season of the reboot and gotta say I liked it overall. I loved this show in my childhood and wanted to see what the new one was all about.
What kinda shocked me was how old the voice actors sound nowadays. No offense, everybody ages and it was cool they returned, but it was so noticable it was almost distracting at times.

The writers change is also noticeable allthough they seem to try their best. The Pinky and the Brain episodes were working way better than the Animaniacs ones. There was a particular ep where the Animaniacs just make fun of Russian people, which was weiiird because it felt so one-sided. Some of the Animaniacs bits felt way too political and they have a writer on their team who is obsessed with things being put in mouths

Style-wise, I actually like the redesigns more than the originals. They are more dynamic, but just the Animaniacs themselves. The humans often look gross, maybe that was intentional? The animation overall is pretty good!

My husband and I love the new Animaniacs and we blew through it pretty quickly because we couldn't quit watching it.

They lost me during the opening theme.  I just cannot stand this reboot, which stinks because I adore the original.  I'm sure it's because they hired all new writers and didn't get any of the previous creative team, except for the voice actors.  And really?  They're not going to hire Randy Rogel to help make new songs?  Bad move, folks.  Baaaad move.

I still don't understand why they axed 90% of the cast. It's not Animaniacs if it's just the Warners and Pinky and the Brain :/

Nah, Randy's not back, unfortunately.  And yeah, it feels so off without the Goodfeathers, Rita and Runt, etc.  Heck, I'd be happy if only that kid who talked about Randy Beaman came back.  I want to know what that dude's up to as an adult!
