It looks like they're articulated enough to be put down on four legs but I may wait to see these in person before I decide if I want any.

Maybe not but if you look closely at the neck it looks like they've tried to make it go up and down.  (Sorry, this was the biggest picture I could find so it's hard to see)

I would of loved this concept as a kid~ As a toy -- I think the plastic clothes are smart. It makes it easier for some kids to play with.

If they can transform from pony to anthro that would be really sweet. I'm just worried Applejack will get left out because the line is about fashion the way Rarity got left out of GoH because she's not as action oriented.

They still exist, we just got a 12-pack release of the larger sizes, I guess they're trying to seperate hair play toys from fashion toys?
I do wish they had brushable hair though.

...I am not sure what to make of the figure though. I love Sunset Shimmer but she does look rather like a baby who's had too much sugar and is about to go nuts on it.

Honestly? The hair has been overwhelmingly terrible for the past few years, and seems to be getting worse. I'd rather have non-brushables than brushables with stiff, greasy hair that I can't make look decent no matter how hard I try. If they can't do brushable hair right, they shouldn't do it at all, imo.

Also I don't like anthros but these are less anthros and more bipedal animals, so they're ok in my book. The moment they start having hands and human bodies is the moment they lose me.

Nobody is validating bad quality hair, but the fact remains that My Little Pony is not an action figure franchise, it's a brushable hair toy at its core.

Hasbro need to make more effort on the hair quality, that's all. Then everyone is happy.
