Two Fakie Snuzzle Customs

I mentioned over on the MLPTP that if I could afford an army, it would definitely be Snuzzle. Then I realized that I could make my own Snuzzles! Continuing my fakie custom trend, here are two girls I'm very proud of <3

The first custom used these interesting dollar store fakies as a base. They're hard plastic and interestingly, their hair wasn't rooted into the pony. It was rooted into a flat piece of plastic and then placed in the coin-slot-like opening on the head, which you accessed by... ripping the pony in half.

To make a Snuzzle out of the blue fakie, I repainted her with acrylics, sealed the paint, and then took apart the green fakie to harvest her hair for the customs gods. I used the tail to make a forelock, and the mane to make a longer tail. Snuzzle-fakie basically kept her original mane and got more hair on top of that.

Keeping the original fakie hair was a gamble, but it was already pink so I took the risk lol. I combed it, curled it, and glued the rooted ends so that it would stop literally going everywhere. I need to vacuum my room after this.

Second fakie custom is based on one of these cuties. And since it was already going to be "off-model" being on a unicorn base instead of an earth-pony base, I decided to go all-out for this girl.

I repainted her and made her symbol 3d with some glued-on accent stickers. I also used glitter on her horn, cheeks, and hooves, and then sealed those parts like 20 times so that none of it would escape this was my first real rehair as well! (my previous customs just got their plug holes hacked to death so that I could shove stuff in them ) I broke a needle in the process of hand-rehairing her, and I have a whole new respect for more serious customizers! She's rehaired with yarn and three different colors of embroidery thread. I also tied some beads into her hair. I am SO happy with how she turned out

Whoa, that first fakie was wild! You split her in half and harvested hair from the other one...that's so resourceful. I've never seen one of those fakies before, with the coin-slot hair. She turned out well, that gray paint coat is super smooth.  Unicorn-Snuzzle looks awesome, I love her hair and her 3D symbol/accents!
