I haven't bought on etsy except for once to get the repro seapony shells someone was selling, so I don't have a lot of experience with etsy.  Can you make offers to sellers to see if they will lower the price?  Or is that frowned upon?

This is just my personal opinion, but I wouldn't ask anyone who hand makes stuff if they give a discount.

I was looking at some vintage toys listed there.  Some seem a bit overpriced.

No, Etsy doesn't allow for haggling or negotiation that I know of.  and what banditpony said.  usually the profit margin on handmade items is too low for that to be anything else but insulting.

I saw this too! I was looking for some TMNT figures for a friend's birthday. They were super overpriced. One of the first times I think I'd have better luck on eBay.

Yes, I went back to ebay for the item I was looking for.  Much cheaper.
