Mine was Moondancer. My best friend gave me her ponies and she was among them.

Seconded, I think my first G1 unicorn was Majesty. First MLP unicorn in general must have been G3 Rarity, the one with glitter and super long hair. That hair frizzed and puffed up like a balloon in Kid Me’s hands!

Also,  Majesty.  I can't remember where I got her,  but I know she was second-hand. I remember as a kid thinking she was Gusty and that's what I called her. I just couldn't figure why her symbols weren't the same as what I had believed was her cartoon counterpart.

Glory was my first.  I got to pick her out at the toy store as a birthday present.  It was so amazing to see a wall of ponies and I think I read all of their back cards before choosing her.

I bought Gusty back in early 2015! I wanted to get her earlier than that but I was picky about her condition. While I still think mine looks very good, you just have to look at her in normal light. When I tried to take pictures of her in my lightbox she's so spotty and yellow! Not sure if I'll buy her repro, but it's tempting.

None of the above. I was born in '85, so I don't remember, but it was probably Milky Way or Rattles and Tattles. I didn't have any of the early unicorns until I was an adult collector.

Mine was majesty. Only her white streak was left so she is a reroot. Her symbols are great though.

Sparkler was the very first pony I got, as a birthday gift about a year before I really got into ponies. I named her 'Tiffany' after my sister's friend, not knowing she already came with a name. Unfortunately, I lost her within a year or 2, and even as an adult collector have not been able to replace her yet. I'm really disappointed that the new Basic Fun version has different hair than the original, or I would just buy her until the right vintage one comes along.
