The plush looks great, way better than the actual G1 plushies who look like they want to jump off a bridge, lol.

It's probably not Hasbro or even Basic Fun but some plush company that only does business within Australia.

I think it might be Basic Fun because they've been seen to have a G1 plush Cotton Candy in their office and I think there were even previous reports about them wanting to make G1 plushes.

Even though this item is currently only out in Australia, so far we having seen anything official about it being EXCLUSIVE to Australia.  Looking at a high-res picture, the holographic stamp appears to say "only 4000" made.  That seems like a lot for just Australia.

I would really, really suggest waiting a couple months before buying her if you aren't in Australia.  You're going to feel sad if you paid a high shipping cost and then she turns up at your local Target.

I agree that it's jumping the gun a little to call them "Australia exclusive" (unless there's something official I've missed that explicitly describes her as such, of course). Could just be that Australia happened to get her first.

I mean, that Rainbow Dash plush released a few months ago was by the same company it looks like. If we could get information on WHO is producing these it might help us out.
I already anticipate getting her SOON but if she is a Basic Fun release...

They are made by a company called Headstart International which has Australian licencing rights. It's a fairly small Australian company. They sold a few on catch.com.au and they were coming straight from the manufacturer. So yes, Aussie exclusive.

At first I did find the 4000 item count to be a huge number for Australia. But there are 182 Big W stores, so they could hypothetically sell out of the plush toy if twenty people bought the item at each store. Not saying this will happen, but it's not theoretically impossible?

I sincerely hope this isn't only an Australian exclusive. As much as it seems cool that my country gets an exclusive, I absolutely dislike it when *anyone* has to miss out on anything. We Aussies certainly experience this a lot when it comes to global distribution, hah :-)

i want this so bad.  I've never liked the G1 plushy's mainly because of their plastic eyes.
this is a hundred time nicer,  I really hope these become world wide.

Looks like I'm the odd one out as I love G1 softies (exempting the Appleplause versions). I like this new one as well,  but not sure if I like her enough to balance out the cost of getting her here to Canada.   We shall see.

Really cute design! I'm also someone who finds that the g1 plushies have a bit of a sad looking expression.

The company that makes this plush doesn't seem to sell outside of Australia so it's a different case than Holly Dash, who actually did pop up in the US, just only at a small Texas chain called HEB.

wait what ?? did Aus get Holly Dash? i think that was the only one G4 international exclusive we didn't get here    and i thought it was a euro only one too.

lucky them and they are getting the Anniversary retro's too huh?
