My First Custom, Sunsation

I do love to repair any G4 I thrift, even common releases, but I found a Twilight Sparkle with a nasty sharpie stain on the front of her neck. I decided to take a try at doing a full body repaint, I'm pretty pleased with the results!

Her coat was cheap acrylics from Michaels. I did about three coats of white first to soften the purple. Her body was handpainted except for the red to orange gradient, which was done with a makeup sponge.
Her hair is four shades of high temperature nylon from TheDollPlanet (Jaded, Yellow Submarine, Starfire, Nanaki).
She took about a week and a few days to complete, she was a lot of fun to make! I'd love to make a nautical themed pony next, but I'd rather not use up perfectly displayable G4.

Well done on your first custom, yay! G4s are not easy since they are so tiny. The sponge gradients look great and I love her tropical colours and sassy expression. ^.^

She looks wonderful! I just finished my first ooak doll, and would want to make some kind of tropical doll in the future. Yours gives me inspiration!

That gradient is awesome!  I have yet to try doing something like that, and here you've just gone for it on your first custom, incredible!  I looooove the color scheme.
