It’s pretty easy to do ;)

I’d start with a hank of white nylon. You need rit dye powder in yellow and orange. Mix up the dye in two pots. Just dip the hair in the dye carefully, as the water is hot. Dye the section you want yellow first, then dip the orange second, you dip a loop in to the dye, so your not covering the white end or the yellow end. Rinse away from the white second as to avoid it getting accidentally dyed, by the excess dye you are rinsing off.

I found plenty of tutorials for dip dye candy corn T-shirt’s, the principal is the same :)

You might know already, but Aliexpress has ombre doll hair in a ton of colors, for very good prices. It's not as high quality as some of the  other online shops, but it's not bad. A bunch of doll customizers use it. I know i've seen 3 color hair, but maybe they won't have the specific colors you need...good luck with it!

For normal nylon ponyhair i would suggest PKWs method too!
The hair you can find on aliexpress is a lot stiffer than regular pony-nylon! It does not go into shape as easy as pony-hair but can be tamed with heat.
Pony-nylon is much easier to work with, if you are a beginner. The aliexpress-hair comes sewn together on a ribbon, because it is made for doll wig making.

Both are possible, but please be aware of the difference in handling to avoud frstration.

Restoredoll.com carries a few colors in ombre hair! It's super high quality and I've used it on an 11" doll head (Starfire from DC Comics custom dolls). It's easy to work with too. :)
