Tyto is a pony who has been in production for two years, almost to the day; the first work I did on him was April 17, 2018, when I dyed him alongside a contest entry pony, and I finished most of his paint on March 17, 2020. My first quarantine pony! He's been a long time coming, but I'm super happy with how he turned out!

Many thanks to my friend Marbletoast for helping me with the name!

Seen some of the WIP on Discord. So glad he's finished!!! And wow he's stunning!!! I love that crown you gave him & his rumpmark looks fantastic!!!

Thank you!! And yes, that's absolutely a mood! I think my custom collection may soon become owl-centric... I feel like most of my custom ideas feature owls. XD

Thank you so much! The eyes were a big experiment for me, I was so nervous! The hair is super-chunky yarn from Michael's, actually! I really love the look of the rehaired poofy/yawn ponies, but I really like the more mohair looking styles - the ones with tiny little ringlets at the end! But, well, my first attempt at mohair was poofy and NOT silky, and every time I try to brush yarn to the soft, silky consistency, I'm left with very thin hair. :( So I found the new trendy "super chunky" yarn, which is essentially just long lengths of acrylic fiber loosely spun together, and carefully cut/brushed them into hair plugs. He's still a little sheddy, so I try not to brush him too much, but I really love the result! I googled it, and the brand is "Chunky Luxe by Loops & Threads", the weight is "jumbo" if that means anything to the knitting crowd! :blush: It's 100% acrylic, but I imagine you could get very similar results with wool roving, or chunky wool thread!
