Taking off a Flutter Head?
« on: April 17, 2020, 12:50:19 PM »
Are they harder to take off or something? Because Rosedust's tail is super loose and I can hear rattling inside, but her head is on there pretty tight.  Does anyone have any tips? Thanks.

I hear dunking them in boiling water for a long time loosens the glue. This goes for all ponies. It’s a good idea to check the body section of the MLP preservation project, if you scroll down it deals with head removal specifically. http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/body.html

Man that head seems to be made of a harder plastic. The good news is, I got it off. The bad news is, I had to use a small knife at one part, and I accidentally cut a little into the wrong part of her neck. Crap.  :nope:  Had to replace the washer anyway as it was bit rusty.

I think they're just a bit harder because the mold is thinner and just have less of a hollow space because of it. I've had the worst time trying to take off a newborn pony's head, and haven't worked up the courage to try again. Glad to hear you did get it off eventually!
