How do I crimp pony hair?
« on: April 08, 2020, 03:09:25 AM »
Hello everyone,

I recently bought a sweet notes with a very short tail. I'm planning on replacing that tail but I was wondering how to crimp it. I have a hair curler and a flattening iron.

Do I need special tools or will these do? Is there a technique I should know?

I hope you can answer my question.

Cheers,

Luke

I think you need a crimping tool, but if you braid her hair and run a hot iron over it and then undo the braid, you might get something close!

That's a good idea, thank you.

Braiding the hair works really well for a crimped effect :) you can vary the size of crimp according to how much hair your use in the braid.

To be honest small tight braids and hot water also works if you don't want to use a styling tool. Though let the hair dry before unbraiding.

Crimp tends to last so long as you give it a chance to set in shape.

Make braids, leave it in for a few weeks, unbraid. Voila!
