First Two of Each Gen?

I'm feeling pretty down. An unexpected expense has popped up and I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do about it yet. To cheer myself up a little, I thought I'd ask you all a question!

Who were the first two ponies in each generation you collect?

Here are mine:

G1 is Sugarberry and SS Heartthrob, G2 is Birthday Lightheart and Clever Clover, G3 is Strawberry Swirl and Glitterbelle, and G4 is Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle!

That's even my childhood Sugarberry, which is why she looks so rough. She went on many an outside adventure.

I was a tot when g3 came around but I believe Kimono and Lulubell were the first. My first g1s were 4-Speed and Sundance, 4-Speed when I was 11 and Sundance when I was 12. My first G4s were Lulu Luck and Twilight I believe when I was 10. Don't have g2s yet

G1: (Rainbow) Windy and I think Sweet Pop? I can't exactly remember who all came after Windy.

G3:Star Dasher, Denim Blue, Sparkleworks, Rainbowdash (It was a 4 pack)

G4:Diamond Mint and Lyra Heartstrings

G2: None yet

I don't have any pictures but my first G3s were Tropical Surprise and Skywishes. Then my first G1s were Starglow and a baity Baby North Star. My first G2s were Queen Sunsparkle and Sky Skimmer. And my first G4s were a couple of Valentine's Pinkies I got on clearance for customs. One of them went into making a centaur SSC hybrid I brought to the 2011 MLP Fair.

I can't remember who my first G2s were (my first ponies ever!), so maybe I'll go with Ivy and Moonshadow just because they were my favourite. For G3, I got Sunny Daze and Wysteria, for G4 I got Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy (I think!), and for G1, Peachy and Speedy.

I got at few G1s at the same time when I was a kid so I can't tell who were my first two.
As for G2, I only remember my first one (Basked Surprise Sweetberry (Though, I never had her set mate Ivy)), the second showed up many years ago, I can't tell anymore.
For my G3, I'm certain they were Spring Fever and Applejack. They were both in the same picnic set and definitely my first ponies. I was 5 and I still love them to this day.
For my few G4s, I don't remember exactly, but I'm relatively sure it was a Twilight Sparkle then a Rarity or a Pinkie Pie.

G1: Cotton Candy and probably Medley. I actually don’t remember getting my first G1 ponies but my mom remembers buying Cotton Candy first for me.

G3: I think 3D symbol Rarity and Starsong

G4: Pink Princess Celestia and small Princess Luna set

G2 is the only generation I don’t have any ponies from.

My first two G1 ponies were Windy (Xmas 1984) and Baby Blossom (Birthday 1985) as far as my family recalls. I was quite little, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

I think my first two G2 ponies were Berry Bright and Sky Skimmer. I just can't remember if I had Clever Clover as well at the same time. That was in 1998 and they came from a store in London.

My first G3 ponies...well, the first one was Rainbow Dash. The second may have been either Wysteria or Kimono. I'm not certain. But Rainbow Dash was definitely first - I got her in 2003 to graduate with for my first degree. That would make it Julyish I guess. I wanted her because she was a rainbow pony like my first pony Windy. Technically I actually had two. Someone online sent me one as a graduation gift as they were out in the US first - but she never arrived. Then a friend found one in her TRU and sent it to me literally days before I graduated. THe US one showed up six months later and the person told me to keep her, so I did. Rainbow Dash was therefore also my first stay-MIB G3 .

My first G4 ponies - I have to name three as I got them together. Rarity, Applejack and Lily Blossom. I bought them in Porvoo, Finland, in 2011, when I was on holiday there. I think I probably picked up Rarity and AJ first though - Rarity because she looked like Glory, and AJ because she was like AJ. But Lily Blossom also came home with me that day too.

Let's see...

G1 - Cool Breeze, then the Pony Bride. (Actually, if retro ponies count, I collected all the Dollymixes before I found Pony Bride.)
G2 - Ivy, then Wingsong and Cupcake - I bought them together (saved 'em from a charity shop)
G3 - No idea. I had a small collection of G3s years before I started "properly" collecting, so I didn't keep track of them in any way, so I can't check and man it's been so long, I can't remember I could probably narrow it down if I cared to look up all the release dates and such, but, eh. x) First two bought as a collector? Maybe Sparkleworks and Daisyjo. They were two random, very weird/lucky finds - they just randomly showed up at TK Maxx, years and YEARS after G3 had ended. Still have no idea what happened there.
G4 - First two G4s overall were blind bag Pinkie and Rainbow Dash, from those little individual figure sets they sold right near the start of G4. First brushables were Lily Blossom, then Sweetie Belle

Ooh, good question. Let's see if I remember...

Baby Firefly was my first G1 for sure. She was a gift from my Grandmother for a birthday or xmas. The second would have been Rosedust since she was released before my other childhood G1s and I know all my G1s were bought new for me.

G2... I think Bright Bramley and Gardener?

My first G3s were Guava Lava and Silly Sunshine. I found them at the flea market when I first started collecting.

G4 were Blind Bags and I honestly don't remember which ones. For brushable ponies, Applejack and a different Applejack

G1- Gingerbread and Baby Cuddles
G2- Sundance and Ivy
G3- I got six of them for once when I was very young/they first came out for christmas, all I had asked for were ponies. Kimono, Snowflake, and the Cotton Candy Cafe that came with Meadow Brooke, Sparkleworks, Star Swirl and Cotton Candy.
G4- Stylin Size Applejack and Lyra Heartstrings

Ivy was a keychain and Sundance was a McD's toy.

Edit: Oh I forgot Meadow Brooke in the photo! No fear, she's still here! Lol, somewhere in the herd.

Ooo, fun question, and I love seeing y'alls pictures of the different generations together!

I'm sure my first G1 was Snuzzle, when I was a wee lass!  Second was Majesty, with the Dream Castle.  Sadly I don't have Snuzzle anymore, but she was well-loved. 

I don't really collect G2s so I couldn't say.

I think my first G3 was Sea Spray, I just love him (I think of him as a dude) I'm not sure who my second was...

For G4s I definitely bought Rainbow Dash first, and I think Applejack was my second.  I always wanted G1 Applejack as a kid but never got her, so I think when I saw a new Applejack I just had to have her!

G1: Bowtie and Applejack. I always saw them as "sisters" because of it.

G2: Secret Tale and I believe Dainty Dove? They were the only G2 I had, in fact.

G3: The two packs, so Sparkleworks, Minty I think? I can't recall.

G4: The main six, at the New York toys r us. All at the same time. I was obviously excited about new ponies.
