I always thought it was same name syndrome! They just seem far too different to be the same pony with an overhaul. I like both of them, but only have the artist version of her, with the pallet and painted on paint splotches. I got her because I am an artist as well! So I am biased to favor her more. But I do like the other one, too! I'll have to get her someday. If I ever get the other one I bet I'd call her Roola-Toola. Lol!
Yeah, I think they just reused the name - that tended to happen even within the same generations, as I'm sure most of you are aware (there's at least three G1 Twilights, for example.)
It doesn't mean anything specific, but I strongly think it's a reference to a French 60's kid show called The Magic Roundabout, where the expression "Tournicoti-tournicoton"(still doesn't mean anything) seems to show up a lot.
