Sorry I'm two months late in replying. I forget to check this forum 'cause I don't often have anything bragworthy to post.

The Pony Project was an art exhibition in NYC in 2005. Those big, blank G3s that sometimes come up for sale were given to various celebrities to design. There were two more events in 2008 to celebrate the 25th anniversary and in 2012.

I'm not sure why they were designed the way that they are, but the plain white pony was the SDCC exclusive in 2005. The other two were exclusive to the first event.
