How do secret surprise ponies work?

Hello everyone,

Its been a while since I posted here.

Today I received my first secret surprise pony pretty puff.
She doesnt have her key but I managed to accidentally open her.
How do I open her without a key? Without  breaking her of course.

Anyone got any tips?

They have a key that you put into the lock and the lid pops open.

Undo a paper clip and jam it in (gently). Maybe a screwdriver. I guess you could put some foam or something on the tip to protect the paint, too.

Haha I replied to your PM without even seeing this, but if you are gentle it is ok to open her the way you probably did

Fingernails also work.

On another note, if you ever needed to clean out the inside and the cape, you can carefully remove the cape part at the hinge by her tail, it's not glued in place, just slotted in. That makes it easier to clean them without damaging the hinge by accident.
