I actually do have this one. Plus I pulled one of her out of the goodwill bins a few years back (my BFF now has her)... yeeeup, if that pony could talk...

I love the early white unicorns In my herd, her, Glory and Moondancer are triplets.

I wonder why her eyes changed from blue to green after the original US release... the Dollymix ver has green eyes, too, I just noticed. Hm.

I love Gusty, but I'm perfectly fine with my SS. Would much rather have UK/Euro non blinky eyed baby gusty.

She's neat, but I think I actually prefer the one with glittery symbols. With that one, the leaves have a bit more red in them, so it matches better with her hair. The leaves on NSS Gusty are too blue. It looks odd. Not sure how I feel about her eyes either, they look a bit too green? Like a yellow green, instead of a blue-green like her hair... Gusty's just a mishmash of colours huh?

Yes, it's the Movie Star version.

I twitched at the (NSS) in the title.

I have the Movie Star Gusty kind of from childhood. She belonged to a close friend who gave me her ponies when she moved away...I think she was eleven or twelve, I forget. But I've had Gusty ever since, and since I played with her as a kid, she's like a childhood pony of mine too...mine but adopted?

Although I do wish we had Ribbon instead in this set. I feel like there was a decision made somewhere because Ribbon's the one on the club art for 1987, not Gusty, but it ended up being Gusty they chose. That's just my speculation though.

Glittery Gusty is nicer, but at least this is a unicorn we had in the early 1980s, which makes her sort of special.

1986 and 1987 card and box art from the UK and Europe in my opinion is the prettiest card art in all of G1 from any country, and the Movie Star card is definitely one of the nicest.

I think I'm the only one who likes this ver. over her US release. I just hate how the glitter ages ya know? Although if I think about it I realize her romp design has blue leaves but lets not think about it 😬

They are meant to be purple, but I'm not sure that's better xD I have seen them fade to blue though.

As far as the green eyes go, I think it was a general design change for Gusty in 1986 because I am 99% sure that's the way we tell a Scandinavian Gusty from a regular year 3 one - green eyes and a glittery symbol. That's the set the UK were mysteriously missing in 1986, but I think it's also a feature of the SS pony. I guess they had a general meeting and decided green fitted her theme better than aqua did.
