That stop motion was cute. I don't blame animators for having to work with what is given to them. There was no way to make their mouths not look awkward.

Because Hasbro doesn't know where mouths are supposed to go, how they work, and quite possibly what they are.

Yikes.   That mouth, that weird movement... no.

But, the story didn't bother me.  Well, unless it's aimed at very small children.  Running around tasting things in mysterious bottles isn't something you want to teach toddlers.  Don't leave your kids alone with this, that's for sure.

You mean we're not supposed to cram unknown substances into our pieholes?  Then what's the point to life?

I just watched this. I don't like the way the mouths looked or moved. Are the ponies going to speak in the new shorts? I think Twilight might have said "Huh?" but the rest of it was just Pinkie giggling and Twilight making noises.

The Claymation/stop motion looks like a downgrade from FIM.

I got some real fan animation vibes from both of their voices tbh. My guess is that the budget didn't allow for the actual voice actresses, so they just got someone who could kind of do an impression of them instead. Might explain the lack of dialogue

Not all stop motion is inspired by Aardman. They were simply working around the lack of muzzle while trying to maintain the art style of having the mouth on the side (as seen as in some of the promo images).

I think it's just a promotional gig. There's been a few stop motion MLP videos, and I imagine this was ordered before the COPPA case effecting Youtube. It feels like something from 2016. The actual show has voice actors confirmed (they're keeping the same ones as FiM) and will be a traditional TV show.

well we've survived giraffe-necks, treakly tea party silliness, pony "baby-dolls", the big-heads, the deer-mice look and now I guess a piggie-nose pony phase... (not even mentioning equestria MH knock-off) I can't imagine the FiM crowd can transition over to what seems a pre-school level focus though if this short is any indication
