I think a shoulder joint bending would have been better, it was..uncomfortable.

I agree with the leg bending that way... it looks painful.  And I'm not a big fan of it. Their mouth is looking weird, I mean, I can't make out how their face works.
Also, Pinkie's giggles instantly reminded me of Happy Tree Friends so now I'm super ashamed and I can't unhear it.  (Don't look for it, it's +18 and terrible)
Overall, I feel like they've lowered the age of their target demography. For the better or the worst, I can't tell really. It's just kinda is. I don't care about it anymore. That's not a good sign. =/

Oh my gosh I love how the animators got the toy designs and just had to make do. Want to make Twilight talk make babyish noises, but she literally doesn't have a lower jaw? Eh, just make her mouth entirely disconnected from her muzzle. No one will notice

Yikes.   That mouth, that weird movement... no.

But, the story didn't bother me.  Well, unless it's aimed at very small children.  Running around tasting things in mysterious bottles isn't something you want to teach toddlers.  Don't leave your kids alone with this, that's for sure.
