How do you refill water cuties? My Princess Celestia is running low.

On a similar note if it's okay I ask, how does the water even evaporate out of them?

Hi, I've refilled multiple of these years ago. There's a hole in the neck plug that the water gets added, so all you have to do is take the head off and add liquid in the neck. The water probably evaporates that way too.
What works best is distilled water with some glycerin for a snow globe effect. You could probably add a drop of alcohol to prevent molding.
Note that some of them do not have tight seams and will leak everywhere slowly and make a horrible mess.

I didn't realize the water could leak out of them     My water cuties are still in their packaging but now I wonder if they are slowly losing water.

I'm not entirely sure.  My only guess is that it can get over 100 degrees where I live in the summertime, so that may have been a contributing factor?

Thanks Starry! I'll do that. Is it hard to remove the head?

I suspect since none of the water cuties that I've seen look 100% "full" that the liquid will veeeery slowly evaporate somehow-   like you know how there were TONS of toys and products in the 1980s with "snowglobe" liquidy/glitter type features -   all of them are now dry as a bone.

I found one of my water cuties today, and went to refill it because this is one I never refilled, and it didn't have a hole in the neck plug! I wonder if the other ones I was able to refill were different batches or even fakies? I have no idea how to refill one like this that's completely sealed  :(

The one with a sealed up neck is Luna.

By the way you can take their heads off by heating it up with a hair dyer for anyone that's curious

Most of mine in this set were second hand and I am not too worried about the water evaporating but I just wanted to note I have a lot of these and not yet has one leaked. So it may be specific batches or it may be a joy for me to look forward to...

Also very possible! Though it got up to 38 in London last summer.

On another note believe it or not...I saw water cutie AJ and Flower Wishes in a toy store today. Not secondhand. New. I thought they had finally run their course after a solid 3 years but seems not...

Lucky! Flower Wishes is so cute! I'm still kicking myself for not getting her.

Meh you have to realise that we had those 2 in every store for ages. Then when we ran out of our stock we had ones that said hasbro canada on. There will probably be a second hand avalanche of them in the next few years.

And yet this store was pricing them £8.99 which is over the rrp.

I checked my water cutie Applejack and her water level is just below the lowest apple on her symbol. I don't remember what the level was originally.
