Popping in to say that I’ve been having more fun with the game ever since I started using the AC Fan app. (lol, sounds like a commercial) People post if they have an item for sale or an event like high turnip prices or meteor showers, and it’s just more fun to at least have an option to visit a new place and interact with new faces and get items you can’t easily get on your own.

Turns out the break helped I've been actively playing again! My mom has also been playing, too, which makes it much more fun. I'm excited about the dream suite!! That was one of my favorites, but I wish it would let me pick random islands.

I'm really happy to see the Dream Suite return. I was really looking forward to that since I put so much work into my island.. but not enough to feel like I should share it.

Unfortunately, I'm still feeling rather burnt out. I think I'll pop in the game on a Sunday for the fireworks event, though.

I was really considering restarting my island from scratch but once I started replaying again I remembered all the work I've done recently.

I haven't played ACNH in weeks. I'm still overhauling my island a lot so I don't think I'll be sharing my address any time soon...

Here's my Dream Address. My island isn't in ideal shape but I needed to upload it before September. On September 1st the grass and trees will slowly start to yellow and my island is so summery right now, you have to see it when it's green!

I don't have any pics to share of it but this shot of Gulliver... My island has been summery since April, I don't know what to do with it now that it's about to turn fall! There's not much for fall decor in the game at the moment, and what there is, it's difficult getting acorns and pinecones.

Hm... I love fall/winter aesthetics. TBH, the transition to winter might inspire me to get back into the game a little. I hope anyway.

Weird question ... is there any faster way to get pine cones/acorns? I shook almost all of my trees today, and I got one pine cone. One! Am I doing something wrong?

No, they're just super annoying to get! Luckily you have a couple months of autumn to collect everything... I can get one acorn for every 90 branches I pick up. If you're rich in miles you can go and go use Nook Mile Tickets to go shake other islands' trees... not that I had any luck with that either.

I was able to get enough stuff to make the small bounty tree. Not a huge fan of balloon farming but it is neccessary...
Don't forget you can shake your trees more than once, I found myself hopping to different trees even though it's not any better of a chance than just shaking the one.

I fired up my game for the first time in forever to get into the autumn goodies. I shook every tree (aside from those trees that are surrounded by a large amount of flowers.  ) and didn't get even a single pinecone or acorn.

Sounds like Nintendo needs to fix the drop rates.

I found a few just by shaking a tree more than a few times it seem but yeah the drop rates are bad.

I'm currently trying to figure out what to do with my island, design wise... I've tried two design pages but I just don't have something to go off of to pull an idea..
