Cutie Mark Crew waves 5 and 6 replaced by G4.5 blindbags?

So we’ve all seen the G4.5 blindbags. Regardless of opinions, they seem to have hit the shelves already: https://www.mlpmerch.com/2019/12/12-pack-of-g45-blind-bags-already-at.html

My question is, are these going to replace the last 2 waves of Cutie Mark Crew? I hope not, I was actually hoping to get the full CMC. Has anyone seen wave 5 or 6 in stores?

I’m confused—have CMC waves 5 and 6 been released ANYWHERE yet (including online)? Are we talking about them being cancelled altogether, or just the brick and mortar stores ordering the new blindbags instead?

I haven't seen waves 5 or 6 at all. I haven't actually seen multipacks since the 3rd wave, either. There are still wave 4 bags on the shelf at a nearby Target, but my other Target has absolutely nothing...

I haven't seen any individual CMC in a while, but we went to Target before Christmas and the only thing they had for MLP were the CMC macaron sets and the Tickle Me Pinkie Pie.

I hope this means the brushables will come out soon!

The last CMC sets I’ve seen are the macaroon sets and a few Series 4 leftovers at  Target. My Target only has an endcap for the Basic Fun ponies and a tiny pony section that only takes up a few feet of an aisle.

Is there a webpage that has pictures of all the releases of the blind bag pony sets including the CMC?

I’m excited for this new blind bag set, there’s a handful that I really want! But I hope it doesn’t replace CMC wave 5 and 6 as there were some I was looking forward to hunting in those sets too!

I think  I've only seen wave 1 and wave 3 of the CMC here anyway. Since wave 1 is still in stores, I suspect they won't worry about further waves and will switch for us to those genetic horror stories.

Although blind bags here also got stuck on the hallowe'en wave forever, so that may not be much of an indication of anything.

Oh- those are pretty cute (although it was annoyingly difficult to actually get to a post with a picture of the actual toys- I care nothing for unwrapping or packaging)

The balloon animal theme is pretty cool...  (plots for way to use in 1/6 doll diorama...)

I can see the balloon ones being used for dolls... with some modifications. I'm wondering if we will be able to tell what character is in the packaging though still... I want to avoid some of them lol
