Diamond Dust is a winter-solstice-holiday themed pony, finished just in time for the weekend of the winter solstice and the beginning of the Yule season!

Diamond Dust was made from a baity Sweet Sparkle that I'd gotten in a lot awhile back. The poor girl had so much ingrained dirt she looked off-white, with both pen and pink marks. I cleaned off what I could, and disguised what I couldn't with the new design!
I gave her mane and tail a quick braid, adding red and white ribbons, and she wears a Santa hat from one of the other G3 holiday releases. I also gave her a tiny gold jingle bell necklace.

Diamond Dust was completely rehaired in a blend of Dollyhair. The blend was made from Blueberry Muffin, Key Lime, Lemonade, Marmalade, Old Bubblegum, and Stormy Sky.

Diamond Dust's symbols are on both sides. The display side has snowflakes and wind swirls, with a rhinestone snowflake. The other side has more rhinestones, but no wind swirls. She also has a swirl and snowflake on her left cheek and hoof magnet, and small rhinestone "ice crystal" accents. The symbols are coated with a layer of fine, iridescent white glitter to match the glitter on her forehead, which adds just the right touch of sparkle!

Diamond Dust was inspired by the weather phenomena known as diamond dust, which refers to a cloud of tiny ice crystals, which form in clear skies but only in very cold temperatures. Her hair is similar to a rainbow because when sunlight strikes the hexagonal ice crystals it is split into a spectrum to form halos and other light effects. In my head, Diamond Dust is the daughter of Ice Crystal and Starshine, and the few pink highlighter marks that are still visible are because she loves peppermint candies and her hooves are stained by the sticky sugar. She is lovely, I really like her cascade symbols, the glitter and jewels really add, it doesn't look "too much" or over done.
