Certain G3 characters being reissued?!

So I was on Toys R Us's/Target's websites and they have a G3 Applejack. Naturally, I thought it was a mistake. But as I kept going through the Pony figures, I found Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie, all G3! They all say In Stock, for $9.99 each. Is this for real? Are they the same sizes as the original G3s? The Applejack one says "Mini," so I wondered if they were super small. For $10, I hope not!

Yes, they're made by Basic Fun just like the G1s. They're normal sized G3s as far as I know.

Oh, that is so cool! Do you know if they plan to make other characters too? I always felt bad I didn't collect G3 in stores. So happy I have a chance to get a few new in store!

Thanks!  😊.   I haven’t heard whether they intend to do any more G3. 

But at this point, the various Toy Fairs will be coming up I. The next few months and we will probably see more of what they intend there.

Can anyone tell me *where* on earth they're finding these in their Targets? I had little luck with finding the G1's, as well, only seeing them on an endcap in one store.

I've scraped together a bunch of change to treat myself to just one, but I went to a Target today and had no luck finding any Basic Fun ponies at all. =(

Forget that! I want G3 ponies released period like G1 does. The rest of the franchise does not need to be forced under G4s horrible shadow when they were spectacular and diverse in every way that FiM is not.

One of my Target stores doesn't seem to carry the G3 retro ponies at all but the other Target had them behind the G1 Basic Fun ponies.

I only have one Target near me and I don't see a lot of stock there but one time I saw the Basic Fun G1's and recently I saw the retro Care Bears. Both times they were on an endcap.

I would love to see more retro G3's (although I own almost all the originals so I probably won't buy these since they're so close in appearance). But, if I were to guess, I'd bet we won't see many more of them. Probably just the ones that inspired the Mane 6, if even those.
