I actually do have scans of a promotional folder for MLP & Friends which features the "flying Spike" artwork.visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI have spent a lot of time pondering the timeline of when the picture with flying Spike was made, because on the one hand you have Tirek, but on the other hand the ponies are all ones who were later than Rescue At Midnight Castle (like Flutterbye and Posey), PLUS Danny is there and I always felt like the reason he wasn't in Rescue At Midnight Castle and Escape from Catrina is that they hadn't invented him yet.Anyway, the rest of the promo folder features a set of character cards for each part of MLP & Friends: the ponies, the Potato Head Kids, and the GLO Friends. The MLP section is interesting because, again, it is mostly characters who were NOT in MLP & Friends, and some who weren't in any MLP animation at all, like Flutterbye has a card.
I had it for quite a time but eventually sold it on eBay when I needed cash for moving, lol.I'm not sure of its exact purpose but I would guess it was meant to be used to promote the new series to TV networks? It gives a quick explanation of each of the "MLP & Friends" segments, except Moondreamers which I presume was added in the 2nd year of the show.
I own that press kit as well and can provide pictures of the character cards.https://imgur.com/UeNs15L
